Hi,

a few updates…

Dollstudio US is operational. Supported shipping destinations so far are the U.S. and Canada. More destinations will be added, but require some more testing.

Most of the content has been translated, including product customizations and options. Recently finished was Indigo Individual, Doll House 168 and Doll Forever. Though, some brands still need some more love. All system messages and notifications should now be in English.

Prices are as-is for now and will probably updated rather frequently. Currently, all prices include shipping to all regular destinations in the U.S. and Canada.

Default payment method is Paypal. For that I switched to a different gateway in the U.S. Alternatively wire bank transfer is also possible. You can choose that option during checkout.

Please leave some feedback if I missed translations or my translations are gibberish, or if there is something you want me to add/update/rework.

Thanks,
Sandro

@Meschler: Dollstudio US is dedicated to customers from the U.S. and (soon) other destinations outside the EU like Switzerland, Norway, Canada or Australia. Regarding the EU sites I will make a separate post when the time is right.

So no more eu.dollstudio.org for german or EU-customers?

Must we go through the us-site in the future?

Sehr gut, Sandro!

Looks like you still have some things in German, like the 'Add to Cart' button at the bottom of the YL-166 page.

Looking forward to seeing the progress! If you need some help proofreading, let me know!

Hi,

finished Z-Onedoll today, almost ;-)

When working throught the customizations, I remembered tha ZO currently has an interesting promotion. They offer a free 2nd head, or alternatively free body heating. This is pretty cool as we are not allowed to offer the body heating option to EU customers. But outside the EU you have the choice - free body heating or free 2nd head with every Z-Onedoll!

Another little detail I'd like to mention is the Status field. It has values like "Available", "Check availability", or "Not available". This reflects the permeability of the U.S. border for a certain type of doll.

For example, if a manufacturer issues the recommendation not to ship this doll to the U.S. or Canada, this field switches to "Not available", as long as this recommendation is valid (e.g. Doll Sweet's DS-145 Minus, which is not available for U.S. destinations since last summer). If we believe that a particular doll is not 100% safe to pass customs, even if there is no manufacturer warning, this field switches to "Check availability". Meaning: before placing an order, please check with us. This applies currently to certain 100 cm dolls.

However, don't panic if you have a doll that is now listed as "not available". It does not necessarily means that there are problems. Retired dolls like Z-Onedoll's ZO-140 and ZO-158 get the same status.

A few of the Torso Doll descriptions are still in German, on the site, of course they will need to be changed to English, great selection.

Hi,

since we have an increasing number of customers from North America lately, we will shift our focus a bit.

To provide better service particularily to U.S. customers, I have set up an U.S. website in the past couple of days. A beta version is online as of now. It runs natively in USD, the default payment method is Paypal, and the default language is English. The prices quoted always include shipping costs to regular U.S. destinations. Other destination like Canada will follow later.

A native U.S. site will make it easier to place an order, if you like to configure your doll online. And it will serve as a place to reference customizations options, new pictures and other topics. However, if you prefer to talk with me via email about your doll, this will remain available as well. The new site is just another option.

The portfolio mostly mirrors what we offer on the EU site, with a few differences. For example, Maidlee Doll and Ruby 13 will not be listed on the U.S. site as you can easily order directly from them; though we exclusively offer the German silicone manufacturer Doll Affair to American customers.

Other brands that will be available through the Dollstudio US site are: Z-Onedoll, YL Doll, OR Doll, Sanhui, Lovely Doll, Jellynew, JY Doll, JM Doll, Happy Doll, DDC, Doll House 168, Doll Forever, Doll Sweet/EX Doll, and Climax Doll.

In the next couple of days I will work through all of our brands and post daily updates; maybe one brand will become available per day. At the end of March the new site should be on par with the EU site. This is not an official launch date as the U.S. site is already useable. But it will (hopefully) get better every day ;-)

Dollstudio US will not be synchronized with the EU site. At a later time it will split off and offer things that do not work in an EU environment, like the frequently requested "Add to cart" functionality for Indigo's care & and repair products, and the Dollworks adapter system.
