Bronwen, I've sent off a note to Matt about this, but you should know that to check for the possibility of corruption regarding your account, I've renamed the old Knighthorse account Knighthorse2 and created a fresh account with the name Knighthorse. I've transferred the password and signature infor...

I have a Cookie in my Cache that is not about to be removed... Now that's the kind of cookie I prefer to be dealing with! LOL. Thank you, Campdaan! :D Well damn, sorry to hear that isn't the cause of the issue for you, Bronwen. I was so very hopeful. I believe Matt mentioned that the problem was on...

Being a Mac user I'd forgotten all about the recent IE 8 release. I was wondering what could have changed that would be causing folks so much trouble. Sounded like a cookie issue but I just couldn't imagine why. Now we know.

Thank you, Mytime!

Matt wrote me earlier. I've double checked permissions and nothing seems amiss. My day job is keeping me from being timely, but I'll keep looking. From what Matt described one thing I would suggest is to clear your browser's cache information. The symptoms sound similar to an issue I've encountered ...

Muz, No problem at all. Go to the Applications folder and inside that into the Utilities folder. There you will find a program called Terminal. Double-click it to open it. When you start it, it will open a window with some text. Don't worry about what any of the text says. Inside that window, type: ...

Re: Getting to TDF? Server query.

On Mac OS X, try opening up the terminal application and typing in the following command: dscacheutil -flushcache This will flush the cached DNS information on your computer, forcing it to update all its info. Being a mac user myself, this usually works for me in these circumstances. Using http://ww...

As Kharn said, we didn't have much warning, so sorry everyone! At no time was the forum server itself down or in any danger. The changeover was with a different service that handles our domain name registration. Just needed a few changes on our part once the transfer was complete on their end. I sho...

Thanks everyone. I wish I could claim more credit, but in this case our service provider had good tools in place to let us know when the problem started and we were able to make arrangements with them to fix it. Kudos to them for a fantastic setup!

That's a RAID 1 setup isn't it?
Thank you!

Yes, it is a RAID 1. Basic and straightforward. I'm thankful we had this in place.

Looks like everything went without a hitch. The new disk is in place and re-mirrored. All is well again!

Dollforum Server and Scheduled Downtime

It has come to our attention that the server that hosts the forum is having a problem with one of its hard drives. No worries, though, because our system runs on a mirrored arrangement, meaning that we have two drives that mirror each other as backup and that the forum can keep running on one until ...

Re: Just tried to upload to the album... no dice

I got a critical error window that said "Not writable by the script" I'm in the process of fixing things this evening. Looks like we've had some permission problems that's preventing people from loading to their albums. It'll take awhile to fix it for everyone, so give it a try in a few h...

That is really cool. Great work! And I love the candied look to it. Very appropriate for our girls.

I definitely would like to alter my stand to be more adjustable. I'm glad to see the innovations continuing. It lets me know how much more can be done with this.

Thank you very much for sharing.

I'm very glad to hear about this. My girls had become afraid to come out and play, so we're all happy to see things opening up again. Yay!
