you say the OS and OSP are not recommended to ship by sea, will leaving her lying down in bed on her back cause damage? i am planning on purchasing one of your 163 SB dolls. they way i currently store my dolls is in bed on their backs, will this cause deformation in the OSP material?

Quick question, are the standard DS dolls line still manufactured and sold?

I would use a vendor. Jeff at BCD is great. My last order was packaged poorly and arrived damaged. Jeff was able to get me replacements for all damaged items.

DS Shipping is unacceptable. You need to push for a replacement/ compensation. The condition of the "box" my new 167 was shipped in is the same as you described. One head was damaged and required a replacement, and wigs were missing.
