I don't think you need to worry too much about the heat, if it's too hot for TPE the chances are your place is on fire. You may want to consider humidity so make sure they are perfectly clean and dry before you leave them so that there is no chance of mould growing in orifices. If you can you could...

That is a great idea to use a tampon! Does the alcohol not adversely affect the TPE or Silicone?
