Yes indeed. A very strange doll. Historic significance. Was latex the material of choice?
For Realdolls overall, no. For the Realdoll latex, yes. And the latex is only a portion of the doll - the rest silicone. I think Matt was trying to make a lower priced doll that was also very light.
And yes, you can buy a used doll for $2500. However, it would not store in a small box after play and weigh 21 lbs either.
Good news is its condition is very stable. Even the silicone is still very firm for such an old doll.
For dress up she is my favorite doll.

Well, from what a heard is that they tried to mold the latex parts using fiberglass molds normally used for silicone and the scrap rate was thru the roof.I remember those dolls. They should have kept making them.
You use stainless steel molds for latex.
But the BTlite is a great doll and worth owning.
Next shoot I'll put the doll together and dress her up - promise.
