Oh nevermind I just look up the caps they are only screw caps and will not give the support and protection of the tpe having the doll stand for weeks months at a time like my Vlasta does , she rarely sits or lays down and is always in them high heels

I keep my doll standing all the time with socks on and the caps work great plus when wearing shoes they don't ruin the inside as much as the bolt heads.

She has been in this outfit for over a week now and will be able to keep it on for months.
It all depends on the type of fabric and that the items be washed thoroughly to get any excessive color die out. She has Opaque Nylons on and you'd think they'd stain her skin... But I washed them and rinsed them 3 times without drying then dried them well.
I found out nylon won't leave stains and sometimes I don't even bother washing the clothing at all just depends on type of cloth really and how it's worn on the body , The vinyl or patent leather outfit she is wearing was not washed at all and is not staining her skin one bit. Cotton will need a real good washing but isn't much worse then nylon. One thing I can tell you to avoid entirely is the cheap "Wet Look" crap they try to pass off as patent leather (latex) (vinyl) for a shinny appearance.
If is says wet look on the item description don't get it.
You will get a good sense of what works just by touching or even looking at the fabric. I might make a list of what works well and make a thread dedicated to black but there probably already is one or many lol

If a stain should happen it's easily taken care of with ponds lotion treatment.

Yeah I've oiled my doll up enough times that dark clothes pretty much won't stain her skin but I do wash them before putting them on.

I stopped putting the travel buff pantyhose on mine to protect her from dark clothes becasue panties and socks look stupid over them plus they don't last long. Most of her clothes are loght colors anyways so it's not a big deal but the dark clothes I do have are good for my silicone doll

great idea! My next doll will be probably a TPE one, and I'm really scared of damaging her feet or the heels, so I'm going to try this right from the beginning.
Have you considered using thicker metal sheet so you can also use countersink bolts that won't stick out and leave marks in the shoes?
You say you don't have the proper tools to cut the metal, but you could also use multiple layers of thin sheet metal to get the same result.

Steel Plates Are
PROTECTION

Hi Nukeno , thanks for responding to the steel plates subject , I like to know I'm reaching some people on this and that I'm helping.

The plates vastly improve stability and protect the feet when standing. I have seen some using 3D printed bolt caps but that will not protect the TPE surrounding the bolts and the toes or heel from becoming damaged.

I thought about using thicker sheet metal or multiple plates stacked on top each other but after having made these I was satisfied with the results and well I have to admit I'm a bit lazy too lol

I believe if we were to use thicker sheet metal I would elect aluminum as the material but I hadn't seen any at the Lowe's or home Depot I could use... All I found was steel sheets but thick steel is heavy so that counts that idea out.

The slight damage to the inside of the shoe is no problem really as you don't see it when she is wearing them and they are her shoes and nobody else's.

Now her socks or especially her Nylons are a whole other story so what I do is use the socks as seen in the pics below which further protect the feet TPE and the nylons plus an added shoe protection also.

I have considered using Flathead bolts with the exact threading and length but lost my patience looking for them amongst thousands of screws and bolt at the hardware store lol

I also considered making rubber or plastic plates to cover the steel plates and screws that would wrap around the edges of the plates , probably rubber yeah but haven't thought a lot about it since so far it's all good.
Let me know if you have any ideas or breakthroughs in this technology.

Used 2 sandwiched together for the top eye lids
Can't even tell it's 2
All you see is thick long Lashes

Have to redo the Bottom lids
Not happy with them
I think left bottom is okay
But Right side needs redone

Oh yeah
Redone her makeup and eye brows afterwards
Better then factory I think.
