Awe I will tell IG she will be thrilled you wanted to do the brick thing. She is trying but never as good as your artistry and she can't get the hang of these new programs. She likes her old one but its out of date now... :( ........ but thanks for always adding... tata b-man... Lexi

Hey b-man, thanks for the compliment and I have Photo Explosion which came in my computer already and Photo Scape I downloaded. The photo scape I do the gifs on. It's all I know how to do on that. I wish I new how to remove subjects and add backgrounds. If I could do that I would be so happy. I'm the type that learns from hands on showing me or telling me. I am not that great with this new stuff. I'm stuck in the 90's... lol IG

May I recommend GIMP, it's a free program with an interface very similar to Photoshop and there are lots of tutorials for it out there.

It's a bit rough as I haven't played with this program in a very long time

Here are a couple more. One using GIMP:

As I said, GIMP is free, Photoshop CC, (Creative Cloud), which, you don't buy outright, but you subscribe to it for around $10 a month, (I personally hate that concept! :x ). So, there's that. The Photoshop conversion looks better than the GIMP, (in my opinion anyway), but that could very well be attributed to me being way more used to Photoshop

These are a couple of photos of Vivette (Vivid Doll 153) that are part of a series I've just started in Ashaki's thread. They were taken just using the 'Effects' setting on my Nikon 3300D and no other program! I'll post more here as time goes on!

Not sure if this photo qualifies as artsy but I'd like to share it anyway! 8)
The edit should help her qualify :lilangel:

Nice pictures everyone.
Swan, what's fun about pencil sketches is colouring them, old school. Try printing that lovely sketch of Sierra and then colour it with pencil crayons. Then scan it and post.

I see many of you are talking about GIMP. I use it exclusively as my photo editing program. I have never used Photoshop so can't offer a comparison.
There are gazillions of tutorials out there for anything you want to try.
I just type in "effect" with GIMP.
Like this one I did a while back,
"3D effect with GIMP".
You'll need old style 3D glasses.

Thanks,
scooter
