and yes I have my wife to thank for teaching me about makeup.
Last weekend she got me lots of little hair ribbons, hair clamps and a cool T-shirt.

I love to experiment with different colors and one trick I learnt was to use lipstick with a foam brush, and apply that first. Then I use GLITTER and add that on top of the lip color. That realy gives a nice effect I try to use now. I have even used pearlescent glitter that I mix with the powder to give her a bit of pizzazz. The cool thing is Michael's craft stores have all these cool things you can try.

I have avoided glitter because I get a bounce back from my fixed flash. I'll have to revisit it when I get better lights.

Yeah what I found was using each light at a 45 deg angle so bounce back won't be an issue.
I do not use flash because of the difficulty in making it work well

Sounds good. I dip foam brush into the lipstick then into the glitter and apply. Use very little color on her lips. Also, TPE takes on color fast, but silicone is very hard to change color, so I just accent her natural color from the same color family

I find myself constantly amazed at not only how realistic looking some of these dolls are but also at the quality of photography you can get with them. Do you do any post-processing of your photos after you take them? Or are they more or less raw images?

Generally the photos are not viewable and useable without a .raw image viewer, so many parameters are adjusted. Photoshop does this correctly. One thing I always do is adjust for telecentricity and fix wide angle distortion that always occurs with wide lenses. For those artistic pics, I will redo depth of field, color, bokeh and misc fixes like dust spots and remove unwanted distractions. I also am very expert in Photoshop, and can do about any adjustment needed. Promo shots are left to basic adjustements.
