Fish face?

Post by EBmoist »

Ok my fellow members- Jut bought a SY doll. Decent body- In fact VERY decent body. Smooth skin, no seam marks, 158cm with 92cm breast. Standing option. I ordered a WM56 head. And thats when things went bad. They were copying WM56 and were selling their copy as a WMhead.. Its not terrible, but ...it looks like you have scared the crap out her, or has this fish face to her!

Try another wig first - sometimes it can make all the difference...

If the eyeballs are somewhat replaceable, you could try salvaging that head as well. I think the eyeballs themselves are the biggest reason for that look. They look very unrealistic and cheap. With more premium-looking eyeballs you could make it a bit more lifelike and mask that expression.

I agree here...the eye are what caught my attention the most. Maybe some new eyes with smaller irises?Longer lashes would be hot. However, I think she still looks great. Maybe if you try some different options out like eye, makeup, etc..U will come to a look you really like...and it will make her that much more special to you.

Maybe you could remove some of the foam behind the eyes, with original WM heads this often adds a bit more natural and sleepy look than the factory default surprised look.

Yeah, I agree, the eyes are protruding a bit too much! You could try taking the eyeballs out and reducing the amount of wadding behind. MannequinFan does amazing eyes to order which will transform her too! You may have to replace the eyelashes afterwards but it's a hell of a lot cheaper experimenting with what you have than buying a new head!

Cheers, Hollows.

Hey EB,

I think the face is lovely actually.
For an immediate solution, try removing some of the poly fill behind the eyeballs so they don't bulge out as much. Also, the positioning of the eyes can make a huge difference. My rule of thumb is that the upper eyelid should go just over the pupil of the eye with more white showing below the iris than above, like the photo below.

Having equal amounts of white above and below the iris results in the stunned, or "deer in the headlights" look.
Having more white above the iris results in an extremely startled or even terrified appearance.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I cant believe how much of a difference it is! Holy CRAP-
I took out of both eyes enough to do one eye.
