Please help. Is this eBay.ca ad legit?

Post by scopes666 »

Hello guys. I am new to this and am seeking my first doll. The one I'm interested in is in this ad.
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/LIFELIKE-SILICO ... Sw3yxZpX-1
Please advise. Is this legit? The seller seems to have very positive reviews. But I might be missing out on something.
Is this a scam, or is this legit? Is the price-point correct for this doll?
I'm leaning towards this because the seller seems to be in Canada just like me. That simplifies things.
Would this be something worth pursuing?

Hi Cazmir, welcome to TDF. You did the right thing coming here to ask.

While these ads on eBay and Aliexpress can seem legit due to positive reviews, there is really no way to know what the risk is. Reviews can easily be fake.

Here's a good quick read: http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 6#p1080346

And take some time to read other threads in the Scam Alerts forum: http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=131

It's highly recommended to choose a TDF approved vendor. They've been vetted by forum management, and they have reputations to protect, so they'll assist you if there's an issue, even after an order is delivered.

Enjoy the search. :x-mas:

What Seattle said.

Same doll from an approved vendor with proper price point. https://reallovesexdolls.com/100cm-d-cup-jadyn/

Many approved vendors have a similar doll, it is a WM doll 100cm D-cup body style. Above is just one example.

Considering the link you sent is half that price, I would assume it is probably a cheap knockoff. Either that or the seller will be losing money on each and every sell. I tend to lean toward the cheap knockoff.

Hope that helps with your research.

Oh, Welcome to the forum also!

Well I would be skeptical for a few reasons

1- His feed back seams to be more as a buyer than as a seller.
and his negative feedback is fake makeup kits. RED FLAG!!!!!!!

2- He has only sold 4 items in the last month

3- His photo's of other items he has listed are from amazon and aliexpress (white stock background)

4- He has sold two off these dolls before for $400 Why would you pay $600?

5- His first doll listed for $700 which he sold for best offer $400

6- I believe there is 1 Canadian doll seller (maid lee?) and this is not them.

7- He claims the item is in Canada. I have seen this before, the seller is in Canada.
The items are drop shipped from the Asian factory/supplier.
(otherwise I don't think he would ship to Australia) way too expensive to ship from Canada.

8- Is this doll a lot cheaper than you have found from our TDF sellers? If so don't take the bait
look up this doll on amazon and aliexpress (are they the exact same photo's) What price?
(The previous post answered that question)

Now this is only my opinion, and you know what they say about too good to be true.

If you are still serious ask him to send you a picture of the doll at his business or residence.
Same as the sellers here in our used section. (With a paper with his seller name on it and date)
If he is unable to do this, he does not have the doll in his possession. Hence not in Canada!!

Don't panic buy because the auction date is closing He has sold them previously and will sell again.
As I believe he is just reselling amazon and Aliexpress items. A lot of so called eBay stores do this,
they don't have to keep inventory or handle any returns. They just middle man the purchase in your name
then it is all the shippers responsibility. Shady but not against the eBay rules.
Think about it every dollar over the amazon price is pure profit for him. No stock, No returns, No store.
You too can become an eBay seller from home.

PS just because it is listed on eBay.ca does not mean it is Canadian (most items and listings are exactly the same as eBay.com)

Welcome aboard I hope this helps you decide

Everyone has already said more than enough to dissuade you I'm sure, but I'll just add that the WM 100 in the photos is a TPE doll and he's got it on there as Silicone. Thats another major red flag!

See and even I missed the most obvious mistake in his description. TPE Silicone

This helps a lot with pointing me in the right direction about how to deduce fake ads, cost, and to stick to approved vendors.
Thanks a lot, all. I will continue to investigate.
The search continues!

Good morning, I have been doing my research for a few months now and I wouldn't risk buying from websites like eBay, Amazon, etc. I've heard multiple scam stories from people who have bought "too good to be true" dolls from these websites. I plan on buying my first doll from a known vendor.

hello...i'm 99.9% this is a suki doll from sili dolls who is a legitimate vendor on tdf,,i have seen many dolls on ebay in the past for less than what they cost(red flag just on that)also the ebay seller s listing ended 11/10 due to an error in the listing...when i came here i read people saying not to buy from alibabba or ebay as these are doll scams and your not going to get what your looking at so buyer beware is the thing.best to buy from here new or in the buy and sell area, this way you are assured of what you will get and b&s you can find very good deals...

ibest of luck in your search for your personal doll..j
