Small Fashion dolls....

Post by stacy718 »

Does anybody else like little dolls (non sexual) besides me?

I have three new 16" ball jointed fashion dolls on order. One of which I purchased on a DEEP discount.

How adorable is she!!?? Originally $90.00 she is on sale for $50.00

I love her and can't wait until she arrives.

One of the other dolls is a doll from an artist named Jason Wu. The doll is an Avantguard doll named Aphrodisiac:

Aphrodisiac is sold out, but you can buy her on the secondary market for a markup ( I bought her on Ebay for a great price)

Lastly is the Miley Cirus doll from Ashton Drake. Cute but not sexy in any capacity of the word.

So how many others like small dolls or ball jointed dolls? Just curious.

Stacy -

I love the first one, I wish I could get her in real size!

I've been thinking about collecting. Funny a grown many starting a collection of small (and large) dolls.

The first doll is a knockout and she has glass eyes giving her a more realistic look than the second doll... I too would love a full size doll that looks exactly like that! But the second doll has nipples (and a vagina) painted on. Much sexier to look at from the neck down.

I am looking forward to photographing them.

The coolest small dolls I have ever seen are the hand made scoonim dolls:

I am seriously considering ordering one. I am in love with them.

I'm sure that if the first one was full size, there would be more room to do the detail work, but her face is so beautiful. I hope that you photgraph and post your new collection. I love your pictures.

Each doll is adorable. Like ultra high end barbie dolls.
They seem to have plenty of accessories and outfit choices, so each doll could certainly be given its own special personality.

Stacy, have you seen one of the Scoonim dolls in person? I havent but they look incredible! I'd love to order a few!

I haven't seen them in person, but I think they are very interesting. They are extremely articulated, and seemed to pose like real people. They are expensive though, especially with the weak dollar. I still would love to buy one. I think they are a minimum of $2500, and that is probably an old quote.

The artist who makes them is amazing. I am a big fan.

I like small dolls, too. There are several small Japanese dolls which look wonderful. Also Cai-Bian helped me discover some great 12" action figures that are inexpensive ($40) and, I think, very beautiful. This model is in stock http://www.triadestore.com/images/multi ... s/1800.jpg and this one is out of production but frequently shows up on ebay at a premium price http://www.triadestore.com/images/multi ... s/1518.jpg I did not [img] code them because of the copyright.

Stacy I've got a handfull of small dolls, all based on comic book characters. My latest is a 17" Elvira Mistress of the Dark. This one is by the fashion doll company Tonner and is one of 300 made. I couldn't resist when she came up on ebay. She's fully articulated.

I didn't know much about fashion dolls until I bought her. But I do know that buying outfits for Zara is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying for these small dolls. 8O

And they vary a lot in price. Avantguards aren't cheap, and I was actually looking at one of them. Love the fishnets on yours. :D

Some more small dolls

Post by Gigi_Avril »

Hello Stacy,

Great photos! I like all size dolls (I'm a doll collector). I have never heard of those dolls before, but I am always interested in new dolls. I have a few small dolls that are a bit sexy (most of my dolls are normal dolls nothing interesting for this forum :) ). See the pictures below: the first is a customized Barbie doll and the others are Playboys (I got them on Ebay, I'm not sure if they make them any more).

Great catch, Stacy! I remember when arte tokio first appeared on the market with their lovely Sidh dolls. But "you made me look" again and now I am really impressed by the Doll body Series.
