Säsong 2 ended with a cliffhanger as expected. Will Bea fix Mimi? Will those two have a threesome with Tobbe? I really hope so... :D

Good list! How about Battlestar Galactica? (Some Number 6/sex?), Star Trek Voyager? (Some 6 of 9, anyone?) or even DBZ android 18. Star Trek: TNG Data's daughter Lal, Futurama sexbots...

Too much print media to name... Asimov, Stross, etc...

Oh I gotta see that!

"Martha and Ash are a young couple who move to a remote house in the countryside. Ash is a social media addict and compulsively checks his phone for updates on his social network pages. Ash is killed returning the hire van. She then uploads videos and photos of Ash to the service's database, and the service duplicates Ash's voice to talk to Martha over the phone [as like in 'HER' (2013) movie imdb.com/title/tt1798709, but]. Martha buys a blank, synthetic body from the service. The end result is a clone that looks almost exactly like Ash." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Be_Right_B ... _Mirror%29

what about bionic man, bionic woman tv series? though technically cyborgs, not robots. Battlestar Galactica has the cyclon robot race. TV series Almost human was on American fox network last year, TVNZ here just finished, stars Kieth urban as a cop in our distant future who loses a leg fighting drug dealers, and gets a cybernetic replacement, and is partnered with an android cop. Kieth urban is a kiwi/NZ actor from lord of the rings, plays scotty in Star trek Into Darkness movie, DREDD, Star TREK, the main villain also in Bourne Supremacy.

Thanks very much for creating and maintaining this nicely detailed list.

Another movie suggestion -with an explanation needed - might be the 2005 film called "Cash Back".

Spoiler alerts:

On the surface, no, it's not a movie about dolls, at all. But I would suggest to the folks here that if a person looks at the premise of the film a bit less literally, it may as well be a movie about dolls. The young male star in the movie learns to sort of freeze time. All the people around him then are basically frozen in place. The "frozen in time" versions of those people could, arguably, be seen by viewers as a reference to 1:1 scale, somewhat pose-able models, aka: "dolls". The young man mainly uses the women he finds that way, to draw artistic, sensitive images of them. He ends up falling for one in particular, and at the end, the two end up together as a real-life, time-not-frozen romantic couple. The female is won over at how sensitively he had drawn her image, and how many images of her he had drawn. Instead of being creeped out, she sees his intentions as benign and the attention he gave her as being wholesome. He tries to explain, but she says that his drawings say it all.

If a viewer looks at the film that way, it's then a fairly "okay with it" film about males interacting with dolls.

Is this documentary one that the folks here already know about?

I can't locate the link, but I'm pretty sure they uploaded that same documentary to YouTube, too.

Another possible addition to this list -- with the understanding that it's not so much a "doll" movie, per se or 100% literally, as one that could be sort of kind of considered one. It wouldn't take too much imagination to pretend it's a movie about a doll, even if it's not intended as one.

The film's name is "Life Force" and it's a 1985-ish sci-fi or horror type of movie.

Link to it on IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089489/

Link to it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MWZI98Q/

Spoiler alerts:

This (in my view) great old movie has a good looking woman running around, totally nude, and acting a bit odd but as if she's alive, throughout the middle two thirds or so of the movie; but she started out looking dead or possibly "inactivated" (in a crystal sci-fi type of box-like object) and she ends up "inactivated" and "back in the box" at the end: looking the way she started. I have not seen the film in a while, so I don't recall exactly if she ever talks. I don't think she does? So all in all we have a movie of a naked woman who either never talks or rarely does, who starts out in a fancy storage box, looking very doll-like; and she ends up back in that fancy storage box, looking very doll like; but she walks around all sexy / nude, and causes all kinds of trouble, in between.
