Chloé went to the front of the bar

and waited.

Getting a drink seemed rather a problem

and waiting until the lights went red

seemed the magic for her presence to be noticed.

A kind man said "hello"

and Chloe had a chat.

She told the gentleman how kind he was and

gave him a kiss.

She was becoming the star of the party and went to sit down now fast surrounded

by admirers wanting their photo taken with her

and more than one

This was becoming hard work.

but was eventually able to take a rest.

Another lady joined her

also needing a rest

so Chloé took lessons on how to nurse painful feet

The DJ needed a break so

after a couple of checks that all was in order

he left Chloé in charge

and on his return he told her she was a gem

Chloé thought she'd done enough hard work womanning the music that night, so

thought she'd see what was going on at the house.

Some nice blokes came over to say hello

and she retired for a sit-down to recover from all the excitement

A Belgian beer specialist

decided that Chloé might like to try relaxing with some nicotine.

She found it interesting

but the experience gave her a hot flush

the remedy for which was to return to the cool of the pool

listening to the jazz violinist

Eventually it was time to go and on her way she knew that a poster-wall had been placed there

just for her.

Chloé really had had enough of records and working as a DJ for the evening

and as we left and the gates were closing she said how she'd really enjoyed taking me out, and that we should do it more often.

She didn't seem to have gone to bed that night as in the morning

she was inspecting her lemon tree still wearing her party dress. There's no accounting for the mind of a doll, and what she chooses to do or doesn't.

She invited me to join her for breakfast telling me that she'd managed to find some

strawberries in the supermarket bin across the road and telling me that they were delicious.

She was most embarrassed, however, "Darling Harem, I'm so sorry - I didn't manage to find any cream".

"But you are the cream", I replied.
