Large heads on 145 body.

Greetings.
I am just wondering if we have any 145cm doll owners here who also happends to own one of the larger DS heads for 160,168,161 etc. If that is the case, then it would be very appriciated if you could post a photo of this combination. I remember seeing pictures of have a 161 body with one of the smaller heads, and it seems to work pretty good. It didnt mess up the proportions that much. I think all heads have the same head bolt, so combining the two shouldn't be impossible. Well, hopefully...

I'd also like to see this. It seems to me that the 145+ body was developed more for western tastes, yet the only heads available are more more in line with eastern tastes. It's a tease to see all these hot heads for bigger dolls and this smoking huge breasted cartoon body, never the twain to meet.

Just to know if the heads between 145 and 168 would be appreciated.
I would order a 145+head with a 168 head if i could.

I just PM'ed Steven at DS today on this very topic.
I wanted to see if the Kayla head would work for the 145 Plus doll. That's about the only one that really appeals to me.
I'll let you know what he says.

If any heads are suitable, probably best to go for the slightly thinner appearance

Of interest here possibly is Hanna, lower left, JiaYi, centre and Thera, top left. Kayla is lower right.

The doll that first looked me in the eyes was a doll of the nature of the 145 size with a head from the larger range. That doll achieved CoverDoll status and whilst her owner has been absent from the forums for a while, it would be nice, and an inspiration for instance to such threads as this to see this member posting such and more photos again. Another member has also had experience playing with her photogenicity and may or may not be able to comment from this perspective.

So visually such a combination can be quite effective. In the case of the other doll, I recall comment that the only problem of the size mismatch was that the head had a tendency to fall off but I'm sure that some mechanical ingenuity could overcome such a problem.

Whilst recently I went for Thera (also known as Maki), there is another head "Claire" which might also be known as Alissa, (although there was another as Alisa) but also known as Kanon http://artetokio.com/gallery/a163kaon.html (where the 168 is known as 163) and which I think might be, with Sandy and Thera, the most beautiful of all.

At some stage I'd like to buy a Claire . . . but suspect also that of them all she might well fit as well as any with the 145plus.

The doll that might be the clue to how well a combination could be achieved is Anoukis with a PIB head on a GND body. It was this doll to which I owe all inspiration for what posable mannequin dolls could do, and in my girls coming to life.

Boy, it is SO hard to tell what the final appearance of the doll will be from just seeing the disembodied head with no hair.
The pictures from the DS site that make me like the Kayla face are the ones labelled "soccer".
In the collection of heads shown here, I see other faces that are more appealing than the Kayla.
Hopefully, DS will respond and let me know what other heads will work for the 145 Plus.
I'm amused that they refer to this body as a "cartoon" body. If this is what cartoons have come to since I was a child, I'll have to start watching them again!

The type of wig you choose will make a big difference on the appearance of the head to body size.

I PM'ed him back and specifically requested that he put Kayla on the 145 Plus, take photos in several poses and post them on the forum so that we can decide for ourselves whether we like the look or not.

I hope he puts a long wig on her for at least a couple of shots, "hint" or the bald head may just appear too large.
