Don't panic Von, if Nina decides to go with a 64 bit O/S like, for example Windows 10, I can confirm that WinXP will happily run in a virtual machine under Windows 10 as per the attached photo. I too have an old application that needs WinXP (or earlier) to run, looks like Nina has it all under control.
The attachment winxp on win10.jpg is no longer available
Nina gets my vote as the prettiest Tech Support Tech.

.....could this be a theme for a future photo contest over in the eye candy forum ? It would be interesting to see who could be 2nd and 3rd

Nina's been a damn decent techie so far! She has a few things she wants to attempt to salvage my XP install ... including setting it up in a virtual machine. We did some tests on my Win7 laptop and we were successful in installing WinXP inside a VM ...

WinXP installed in VM on Win7 ... and able to run Adobe Audition (as a test ... not sure about hardware latency issues during recording/playback ... yet

).

Hey Anglian ... I noticed on your screenshot, you have WinXP running in VMWare ... does this program come with Win 10 or did you need to purchase it? Also, did you/were you able to "import" your WinXP install directly into VMWare or some other method? I had to do a "fresh install" of XP in my VM on Win7 ... I was wanting to "import" my current install, if possible. We can PM if need be ... keep the thread clutter down.
