I'm glad you showed the damage to her foot and insert opening. I haven't posed my DS145cm in a standing position yet. I'm definitely going to be watching for damage. I wish I had known about the deeper custom insert. Oh well, I suppose that gives me an excuse to get the DS145cm Plus.
Do you like the Doll Sweet inserts? I remember someone here saying it was their favorite. My feels somewhat too firm and stimulating; almost painful to use. I'm wondering if they've been experimenting with the insert silicone blend. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to post all these photos and info. It's inspiring.

If you are going to do some standing poses, yes, check for any damages afterwards. MY 145's foot "paddles" have a very sharp edge and would not take much force to slice through the bottom of the foot ... as soon as you find any slicing, fix it as soon as possible.
Yes, I do like the DS inserts that were built/cast for my Nina ... they are perfect in my book!! I get full penetration AND full stimulation at the same time!! Neither too firm nor too soft ... juuuuust right! And good fit too, does not slip in nor out of the doll.
Oh ... and if you are wanting the deeper insert option, make sure you ask Steven to special order it for your doll!

I have no experience with Nina in shoes, but I think you have much experience with this topic!! I will agree regarding high heels ... too much pressure on the ball of the foot, right where the foot "paddle" ends. I think you are right on the money with the protection that a good pair of flats would give the feet ... spread the weight out evenly over the entire sole of the foot. Your girls have done much photo work in many different environments and conditions and have provided a good source of learning "tricks" to keep these beauties unscathed!
