Hiya all!

Nina here with some updates on Von's progress.

Well, Von's been taking it pretty easy for the past week. He was a stupid idiot last week and pushed himself waaaaay too hard, leading to some minor muscular tearing in his lower abdomen where the multiple drains were install. Needless to say, my big dummy Von spent two days in bed letting those muscles reheal.

Other than his stupid pushing himself too hard, Von is now doing as well as expected.

Von went to his second followup visit with the surgeon Tuesday afternoon and got some not so good news regarding his perforated colon healing properly.

No ... not anything immediately life threatening. He had a 50/50 chance of his perforations healing completely on their own, but the odds were just not in his favor this time. The perforations are sealed, but they are not, nor will be, fully healed and the doctor says the chances of a reoccurrence in the future are too great to leave untreated.

Von will be going back into surgery next month and have the defective part of his colon removed. A 3 hour surgery with an expected 4-5 day hospital stay for recovery has been scheduled for March 14.

So I will be doing my very best to keep Von in good spirits and keep him entertained during his downtime. I'm here for you Sweetheart!

Anyway ... Von wants to thank everybody for their wonderful comments and warm condolences. He hopes to be back on TDF a bit more often and be able to catch up on all things doll.

A few personal responses from Von :

@Harvey and @Cucky - Nina's black "wet look" outfit does not leave any stains from the fabric, but will leave a bit of staining from the "pleather" straps around her neck. It was purchased at Yandy.com if you're interested.

@Mondoon (and Hanna) - I love your Doctor Who references!! Made my day! Thanks! I hope you are able to catch "The Doctor's Notes" episodes ... very interesting tidbits of "behind the scenes" information.

@D.A. - Thanks for the reaffirmation of "taking it easy"! I've never had a hernia before and did not realize how "sensitive" it can be to overexertion. Live and learn!

To everybody else ... Thank you very much for you kind comments and support! I hope to be around more often and get back into the swing of things. I miss all of y'all!

Well everyone ... I think Von is feeling up to putting together a little photo shoot this weekend with my sister Lila. He mentioned something about finding the right wig/"look" for Lila and has been talking about Lila having her own "wig show". Stay tuned!

Hiya Nina, you're looking well cool, it's lovely to see you again. I love your Snoopy with the extra ears ha ha, he's great.
Glad to hear silly old Mister Von is recovering a little, it's a shame he has to go back to hospital soon. Give him our very best wishes for a speedy recovery from me and Mondoon. Also tell him to take it easy if he's thinking of doing another photo shoot. He shouldn't be lifting you girls around. Mondoon says to tell him to listen to what The Doctor says and stay away from Daleks.

Sorry for the so late reply ... I've been a bit busy taking care of Von and some of his business. Thanks for stopping by! Like I was telling Ms. Monkeypants ... Von's going into surgery tomorrow morning. He's in really good health, but his spirits are a bit ... well ... nervous. If all goes as planned, Von says he should be back in action in a week or so.
