Re: Any head spin problems w/ DS Dolls?
Of course there are headspin problems with DS dolls
They put other people's heads in a spin!
Seriously, no, DS dolls themselves don't spin their heads involuntarily and actually have to be powdered around the head join to help them to turn more easily.
Headspin is a particular problem of popular TPE dolls, not these.

I'm just studying head attachment designs. I hate the thread on heads where you have to rotate them 10 times to install or remove. This is prone to result in more damage in various aspects.
Regarding DS Dolls, the check ball in the head sleeve must be strong to keep the head from popping loose if there is much surface tension between the top on the head and base of neck.

Chloe got too excited when changing her wig one day, before I fitted the new clip
ending up decapitated in the garden
but soon recovered her composure
Since fitting the new fitting there has been no trouble.
On http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 76#p668876 you'll see my comment about dusting the head with talc in order to help her to turn it
and ready to go
This is Aira in England
who had sellotape wrapped around her neck to provide less friction to help her turn her head more easily
Aira, by the way, is a very sweet character who nursed inflatable dolls being washed and ejected on their way to other members
when silicone dolls took prominence . . . LOL

Have only seen the neck stem w/a groove so I knew something locked in.
You just have to pull the head off by over riding the spring tension? No release I assume.

My popular make TPE lady's head goes
round
and
round
and
round
and
round
and she gets rather dizzy. I've been seduced by the sculpture of the TPE ladies but DS soft platinum silicone is the real deal for all reasons.
