Whilst in my opinion DS doll's Sandy steals the show, Kayla solidly retains popularity. Seeing photos of Kayla from China, it seems appropriate as DS' most popular doll for there to be a thread dedicated to Kayla.

A friend came to see my girls and particularly wanted to meet Kayla

Indeed she's so popular that in China they even try to copy and fake her

not very well . . . and so badly

as the refinement of Kayla, the genius DS daughter . . .

Kayla certainly is quite popular. A lovely vision, to be sure. It's encouraging that DS has so many faces to choose from though, and that their photo gallery on the official website is so full of many great portraits. Thanks for continuing to monitor the Chinese forum, Harem. It's a real treat to see what our artistic brothers are up to on the other side of the world!

great idea for the Tribute Harem.

Kayla is now a classic beauty, I did not know about the fakes ,

only owners know how beauty DS face sculpts are, Kayla is the DS Jewel of the Crown.

no matter how you dress her, sailor, secretary, with a babydoll or without one, nude or fully clothing, slleping or awake, she is a charming lady.

pd:the Kayka with the fox good mask (Kitsune) is new to me.

I never realized how beautiful this doll face option was... The original DS pictures don't do enough justice.



Is this is the Kayla head? I find it interesting how some pictures (to me) some faces don't always look good, but in some pictures they look completely different and absolutely beautiful. Like this for instance. This head didn't really shine to me on the official site, but now that I see these pictures by customers, I think she's gorgeous. But it's the same exact head!! What phenomenon is this or am I just a hypocrite?

I guess maybe the pictures posted by customers look more realistic, closer to what I'd be getting, because they don't contain all the additional make-up and photo props in professional photo shoots, which can give a false sense of what is to be expected.

Yes, that's her. You've seen people say "pictures don't do her justice" about several brands and faces of dolls. There is just something visceral about seeing them in person that adds to the senses - that ability to not only take her in, but to reach out and touch her. In photos, you're right, some hit the mark and some don't. There are a lot of elements to a good photo, which is why great photography is not something anyone can do by just picking up a camera and snapping a shot without any experience or learning.

I can tell you the opposite experience is true as well! I have a DS 168cm and my "second choice" head became my *only* choice after I received her. My original first choice head is going to be sold soon here on the forum because she does not work for me in person. C'est la vie.
