What are the DS foam cores like?

Hi, Today I am wondering, I know DS uses silicone over foam(?) cores, a standard way to reduce weight in dolls as a solid silicone doll would be 120~lbs.

But I am wondering, what is the foam like? I have seen foam range from soft and plush like bed foam mattresses to rock hard insulating foam.

So I am wondering, is it soft form? hard foam? rigid foam?

it is soft foam.
here we have some doll repair videos.
it is cut the doll open, you can see the foam.

Oh! awesome, I was hoping it was a soft foam, I was thinking with a layer of silicone over a hard core might be too firm.

Wow did you guys really cut and repair a finished doll just to make a repair video for your customers? that is awesome.

Awesome doll surgery video! Just what I wanted to see. Answered my question about the softnes inside the doll. Since I am the very medically oriented person I love how you did the surgery.
I would have stitched the incision closed using two layers of stitches then gleued the skin after the second layer of stitches.
