Insert Entrance Tear Repair Vid Just Posted by DS
Once again DS is on top of customer support. Here is a YouTube link to a new video, on the DS channel on YouTube, which was just posted May 20 and shows how to reinforce and repair a tear in the insert opening.

Pretty straight forward. No specific reference to the type of adhesive or the gauze reinforcement.
Harem and I, along with others, use Permatex Flowable Silicone Windshield & Glass Sealer
pn 81730
I use cling film instead of a cut up glove to hold things together while the silicone cures.
Haven't tried gause yet, so I'm not sure what to use for that. Harem?
There are several other vids on their channel that show major repairs to the skeleton etc. If you ever wanted to see whats underneath the skin of a DS doll, the DS YouTube channel is the place to look.

Thanks for picking this up
The gay abandon with which he cuts with scissors for the demonstration is . . . very matter of fact!
Gause - great for making a reinforcement perhaps where the soft silicone is prone to being stretched more and evening out the pressure or tension to surrounding areas.
One can get a plasterer's scrim possibly for this but I'd have thought that it's a cotton medical gause he's using.
Clingfilm or sellotape is good on top of a healing wound to ensure that the surface is smooth and together.
It looks as though he's using a tube of stuff like Permatex flowable silicone also . . . The whole tube is likely to go off rapidly however. I use a pinhole in the top through which to take the glue and then whilst there's a bit of excess glue, slide some cling film on to seal it before putting the lid back on. One can then even get glue out through a pinhole in the cling film. By limiting air contact in this way one can extend the usability of the tube of glue to many repairs over a long time.
Chloé had had a reinforcement with brown silicone inside her cavity before she came to me. To my shock I found that this had opened slightly and inspection and cleaning with acetone split it even more. I found the position which closed this up as much as possible, inserted silicone, and inserted the blank insert covered in a polythene bag, and got her to sit on the edge of a tin to push it all together well She found this very painful
But told me it was fine when the glue had set
Perhaps this is the sort of area where a gauze would be helpful reinforcement.
As a retired fitness instructor at Porn School, Chloé is a well exercised girl . . . and so she does appreciate some loving care from time to time.
Best wishes
Harem

One member here is known to enjoy insertless sex with his doll. I don't think he would like fiberglass tape inside her from the factory..johndside wrote:After reading this thread and watching the repair videos, I'm thinking that maybe D/S and other manufacturer's should maybe use gauze or some other type of webbing to strengthen their dolls in weak places during the manufacturing process? There is also fiberglass webbing used in automotive body work. I think it would work well saturated with repair silicone. I think when I finally get a silicone doll, I will do the same before damage is done.

No, probably not, but even then if the gauze or fiberglass was well coated and saturated with silicone, it might not be noticeable. Also he is not doing what would normally be done with a doll with an insert.DarkOne wrote:One member here is known to enjoy insertless sex with his doll. any advice for repairing a tear from the insert area in direction of the belly button. I noticed a tear on my new doll after 2nd use and it's growing quickly, and soon it wont hold any insert anymore.
I think it could need some kind of reinforcement because the silicone at this area is maybe about 5mm thick, so gluing wouldn't change anything at the root cause. I think filling the insert hole with a little silicone to create kind of a patch would be best. Do you have any experience if this could possibly work to fill it with liquid silicone and wait for it to harden or is it better to make a silicone patch and glue it in place.
Regards
