Apology

Hey DS owners and enthusiasts, I realize I am not one of your favorite people at the moment as I have been pretty much anti-DS the last few weeks. I want to apologize for that. It started off with me being annoyed with another member for some posts and snowballed from there.

Thankfully someone today figured out a way to make me stop and think about what my issue was. I realized that what started as minor annoyance built to anger and I turned that against the member and then by association DS dolls. I would like to apologize for doing that as it is not what TDF is about. What should have been just a mild irritation to be ignored instead turned into way more than it warranted.

Luckily I have figured out what caused this to happen so there should not be a repeat of it in the future. As most people who have read about me know I have extreme social anxiety disorder. Well about a month ago my company told me I have to do some panels and work in one of the boothes next weekend at Comic Con. Yea one of the largest mass gatherings of people in the world and they are sticking a guy with extreme social anxiety right in the middle of it. So basically I have spent the last month freaking out about this and it made me quite irritable. So hopefully now that the problem has been identified it shouldn't happen again.

Again I want to just apologize for the negative comments I have made towards DS recently. It doesn't mean I won't stop showing how awesome my girls are but I won't be saying anything negative towards any of yours.

Hey, best of luck with that Comic Con stuff! I always wanted to go to one of those. I just found out that my newest game is going to be demoed at a game convention in Texas! So I've been pretty anxious, too.

On a lighter note, it could also just resonate your true passion for your doll of choosing in the subtle (or not) rejection of other 'brands'!?! Just throwing that out.

I've been very stressed as of late as my kids are all home for summer, I'm about to get two game's published, my MIL just had a mini-stroke (you find out how much someone helps out when they suddenly can't!), I had to install CCTV due to prowlers and local armed robberies, these people down the street keep blasting music so loud it rattles the windows on our over-hundred-year-old-house, we just got a hedgehog..sheeeew.

I stay away from public events if at all possible. It's just better for me in the long run. I've always wanted to go to a Comic Con, though. I have and read a LOT of comics, as do my kids. Also I love old Kevin Smith movies and those often revolve around comics.

What's wrong with DS Doll? Just curious as I don't own one, I'd like to know what kinda flaws did you find, I don't hear anything bad about them aside from the clothes staining issues.

There may be a slight issue with them having to thin/soft a mix in the insert area. It may or may not be already addressed or it could be simple user error. I went a little too far in calling it a design flaw which it isn't. It probably has already been taken care of since DS knows about the issue and has posted a video about it.

My other issues revolve around personal aesthetics. Basically I am not a huge fan of Asian women as fantasy material, don't have any issues with the live ones. But everybody has their tastes and if their dolls appeal to you then I'd say go for as they are a quality doll.

I wasn't aware of any staining issues with DS, at least none that are not the result of improperly washed clothes.

All in all DS is a great doll. If their appearance rocks your world then their are no serious issues with them like some of the cheaper silicone manufacturers. How they rank among the big boys is purely based on what you are looking for in a doll.

I have to make myself go to Cons. The one I frequent most is Dragon Con in ATL. It is massive and very intimidating. I usually just get a day pass and not stay overnight.( used to stay at Marriott for the entire thing)
I don't even get the three day pass,too much for me. The crowds are enormous and I get claustrophobic. After going it takes days to recharge from it,lol

Thanks Cat, yea I'll be glad when all of this is behind me. I actually have no idea where I'm staying. All I know is I have an airline ticket for a first class shot from Richmond to San Diego, with a couple of stops obviously, for early Wednesday.

That is if I don't have a nervous breakdown before then. Had a mini one yesterday. Seem to be better today so hopefully I can stay in the frame of mind I'm in right now. Luckily I am in analytical mode today which pretty much means no emotions and things on a calm even keel. If I stay like this for the Con I should be control. Of course this mode won't help the bosses out much since I have no imagination in this mode. But that is what they deserve for putting me through this. Of course that means no Vani or Neoti either since they can't exist without my imagination so that kind of sucks. I actually slept alone last night for the first time since April 7th. Right now all I see are two silicone dolls and that is it, nothing of an soul reflected back at me. I just hope they come back to me after all of this is over.

Oh I know all too well,I have panic attacks when under extreme pressure or anxiety.

The beauty of your girls is that when you are ready,they will be there for you, no hard feelings,no resentment!
I've felt that way about Joe before because I'm a human with emotions that fluctuate. I'm so glad he's a doll,XD

I do that too, get in that mindset. It's a survival mechanism for me,but hey,we always make it through!!!

I see what I can do, although the last time I went I had a full time security guard escorting me around so I didn't take my phone with me. Oh maybe I can have the security guard snap one, he'll likely move around a bit more while I am in panels and stuff or hiding in my hotel room.
