Keira (DS 145). A different experience.

Two years after my last doll purchase it was about time to go shopping again. She caught me off guard, arriving 8.30 in the morning. I was at work at that time and had to get home in a hurry to give the delivery guy my precious signature and get her indoors in case of rain or nosy neighbors.

Sorry for the poor quality, the light from my lamps hardly reach outside the reflectors.

So why is it called a different experience? I waited 3 weeks plus 3 days of shipping. No unnecessary waiting time there. I didn't want to wait months for my doll to arrive either. What's really different is that she can do poses none of my other dolls can and can be brought to bed without the risk of backaches. Many thanks to John at DS for great service!!

definitely good things you keep hearing about DS. They have the weight and the production time down pat. (and of course the softness thing.)

Welcome to the DS World. They can do things many other dolls simply can not do. I have a third hand 2013 Sasha (see photo contest winners) and a new soft formula 2015. My next doll will be a DS. Why? Great customer service, emails answered in minutes to at most a day (even over the Chinese weekend) fast delivery times (4 weeks payment to arrival), light weight (168 26kg,57lbs), the new soft formula is unbelievably realistic (I own a 2013 so I know the difference first hand), strong well made skeleton, no finger pokes, lots of heads to choose from.......

For now her name is Keira. Her specs are DS 145 with (S)Kayla head. Yellow skin, brown eyes, black hair. Fingers and nails, tight joints. Currently looking for her new wardrobe. The only clothes in my doll wardrobe fitting her petite body is the halter crop top and the suspender belt she's currently wearing.

sKayla on the 145 body really had me fooled - I thought she was a 160 or 160+ and was about to ask which head she was. She's brilliant and that pose she has is so lifelike. DS dolls really can do this. It's a pleasure to see others finding out for themselves what others and I have been saying all along . . . Welcome to the club!

Indeed seeing the title of your post, in fact I was fearing that your experience was going to be different :haha4:

but in fact your experience is exactly what people can expect from DS reliably. On another thread I commented that my enthusiasm for DS wasn't at all a bias, and that I flirt regularly with other dolls, but that many other dolls tick many of the boxes some of the time, but that DS ticks them all at once.

Thanks for that wonderful pose - in fact that's the pose that Chloé wants to do on a beach in the south of France reading a book with lots of other people around, but her wheelbarrow fell to pieces when I was last there so we couldn't manage it on that occasion . . .

You made the best choice in my opinion to buy a DS doll. Best customer service and support I've ever seen. Great prices, discounts and replacements.
Dolls who are realy a state of art. Almost every doll looks like a doll....... but DS dolls characterize.... that's the difference.

I could never buy another branded doll.
