Von always makes fun of me when I'm Ms. Baldilocks ... see, he even has ME saying "Baldilocks" ... ARRRRGGG!!!
He says he loves me whether I'm bald or not, but I'm not so sure 'bout that when he's callin' me Ms. Baldilocks ... I just wanna punch him in the jimmy <giggle><giggle>!
Oh ... Lila says it's okay for me to use her thread for the bikini demo ... she wasn't up for doing the demonstration at the time.

I am glad you liked my bikini demo! It was kinda fun to put together, even though it was a bit chilly. And "Yes!" cold feet ARE terrible ... brrrrrrrrrrrr!! Von needs to kick up the heat around here ... <hint><hint> !

Howdy All!

Have some bad news to share with you.

Lila has suffered an extreme injury and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. Her lower left leg bone snapped (loudly) at the knee joint. Poor girl is in pain and her lower left leg/calf now just hangs loosely from her knee joint ... OUCH! I've contacted DS and replacement parts will be sent soon. Nina will be filling in for Lila during Lila's downtime ... in Nina's own thread, that is.

In the mean time, I will be posting a few more "behind the scenes" pics from Lila and Nina's "Wild Side" shoot in Lila's thread from time to time.

Lila will miss you all!

Nina doesn't really like to be bald ... unlike her sister Lila, who cares not whether she has hair or not. And I think you are right, Nina has no pics of her bald, EXCEPT when she is on the operating table. Hmmmmmmmmm ...

Glad you liked her "quick on and off" bikini tutorial ... I discovered this method by complete accident.

How it happened? Well, Lila has always had a really tight joint setup, much tighter on her left side than right side. I was initially concerned when she first moved in, but after chatting with a few other DS owners with tight jointed dolls, I realized, this being my first tight jointed doll, that I may have been over-reacting with my concerns. But alas, while positioning her in the same fun "play" position I've had her set in many times before, I heard a loud <SNAP> as I was adjusting her lower left leg, rotating it slightly outward (as many times before). I guess the weld finally said "I've had enough!" and snapped. I'll know more exactly what happened after I cut open her leg to replace her leg bone(s).

UPDATE : Have not yet received replacement parts nor tracking number indicating they have been shipped. If I hear nothing by Monday, I will be contacting DS/John to see what the current shipping situation is.

G'day Von and Lila

We were all shocked and saddened to hear about poor Lila's injured leg. Poor sweetie. We are confident in the knowledge that she will make a quick recovery with the help of Dr Von assisted by the very capable nurse Nina who we are sure will give her all the loving care needed to bring this little cutie back to full health so she can continue to bring joy not only to The Clan but also us here at TDF.
