Angela 160+

So after lurking for 3-4 years and finally purchasing, I thought I'd try to give back a little to the community that has provided a ton of useful information to me. Thank you all for the pages and pages of info guiding me to the right decision.
She's 160+, LPink skin, Nanase face, brown eyes. Loose joints, finger bones, no nails. 3.5 weeks making time, 1 week shipping time. DS was very punctual in all regards.
I originally thought I was eventually going to put an OI head on as they are exceptional, but after seeing her in person I think that's now very unlikely as she is a 10 for sure.

So a question I still have, that I'll probably ask DS directly as well... I'm a big guy, the inserts will not work at all (as I expected based on their dimensions). However without an insert works just fine, I wanted to know if anyone has any durability tips for this kind of activity...

Your Angela is a beauty. Her light pink skin looks very nice! Are you a very big guy very tall that the inserts are too small? I'm considering getting the 168+ for my first doll and I'm just 5'6" myself.

guyfox is talking about a problem with the inserts, I don't think the size he refers to is his height

For the guys who are "bigger" than the inserts are made for, DS are willing to make a an upgrade, but I would imagine has an additional cost. Click this link to read how member von_Shredhead was able to have this done.

As for your height compatibility with the 168+, I am a couple of inches taller than you and find her height just right in practical and cute-ability sense. I think your height will prove to be an even better match.

I'm 5'10" and I think she's the perfect height, but that's just personal preference as I like girls that height.

I asked twice, they didn't seem to want to do it on the larger bodies, only the 145. Probably a structural limitation.

Yes ... you are correct. I've asked multiple times about the DS 158 being modded for a deeper insert ... it is a skeleton structure limitation that limits how deep the insert tunnel can be made. It takes a redesign of the skeleton to allow for extra depth in the "hip bone" area.
