Is this head 'Xiaoli with a different expression'?

Quick poll to see what you all think. I got 2 heads with Xiaoli when she arrived from Sam's place. Sandro at DS Doll Europe is able to provide eyes for DSDolls, so I bought a pair of brown eyes for the head (it had purple) and Sandro shipped them over to me quickly and without fuss.

I'll keep my own council on this for a while as I dont want to lead anyone's thoughts. Be honest and vote as you see fit.

So, Do you think this head is Xiaoli with a different expression?

Would you have a frontal angle for each?
Did you alter anything to each of the faces? ei makeup.

voted no. from the photos I'm seeing some differences.

Yep. That's Xiaoli with teeth but without the cigar.

Yep that's her. Both of them.

take lots of photos at diff angles with both faces - you can animate her talking while moving her head. It'll look amazing..

Perhaps more pronounced eyelids/epicanthic folds with the closed mouth, but that could be from either more eye makeup on that face or the slight stretching from an open mouth. Close enuf

Adding a little eyeshadow to both would make them nearly indistinguishable.

When you first had her mind so elegantly moved from the smaller Miranda body to the more grown up DS body I was amazed how believable the transformation looked. Those two faces are so very similar, you can tell us that is Xiaoli and I believe you. Lookin forward to more pics of Xiaoli.

Voted yes. Like Hostage, I was looking at the eyelids. But that's a detail.

Karrot - You got lucky. My beautiful Ayumi has a JiaYi head, and I ordered JiaXi as the second hoping it would pass as same girl different expressions. The reality was not close. That said, what you've done above is commendably similar, much closer to what I origanally attempted myself. I think you could easily pass both heads as Xiaoli assuming they are used in the same photo story in similar dress. Well done.

I see one difference, the nose looks slightly wider.

Agreed on that point, and also on the eyelids, but expressions change eye lids, so thats not so much of a 'flaw in the plan'

Thank you to everyone for the feedback on this. Between this poll and the one on UKLDF it's a yes, So Xiaoli now has 2 'expressions'.

I'll be posting some new pics in her 'Spam' thread in a couple of minutes.

There is a difference but subtle only if you look close and the upper eyelids, I would like to see and animation to see if it really matters.
