Samantha - different or all the same?

Are there different Samantha faces or are they all the exact same face?

If it turns out that they are the same, just my eyes tricking me, the 158 Samantha looks really pretty to me, but the 161 doesn't. I guess I'm just weird like that.

I just took two close-up screenshots of the 158 and the 161, Xephyr, and aside from the skin tone being different (one is yellow, the 161 is pink) I do not see any noticeable differences in the face. The curve of the jaw is the same, the eyes are spaced evenly, the chin is the same, and so are the shapes of the eyes. I do suspect that a very small but well applied amount of makeup has been used, as I can see a small difference in the tone on the underside of the eyelids on the 161. It may just come down to lighting and shading.

I have to agree with ValarMorgulis. I think why they look so different. Is because of the different skin tones. One being Light Pink and the other being yellow. Also a different applications of make up will give a vast difference in the characteristics of the face. Just look how different the Kayla face looks in light pink compared to brown. Also the make up on the light pink doll looks more robust with darker lip color and heavyr eye shadow. Where there is less make up on the other giving her a more natural look. So I strongly believe those are the same faces. Just "dolled-up" to look different.

It is however, really fun that these faces can merge together in our minds as sisters or as the same and Karrot's the master of this with his Xiaoli.

Well, I know the brown skin toned doll is defiantly Kayla for sure. Because that is my doll. And based on DS Doll's website. That other one is Kayla as well.

If you're referring to the picture of my doll I posted as being Thera. Well actually this is Thera.....

They do look close enough to be twin sisters though....

Samantha, Kayla, Thera and the rest. They're all really hot. Wish I could collect them all. Like Pokemon but more fulfilling.

I think it's a combination of things: ambient lighting, colors, hairstyle, etc. This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where Jerry is dating a woman who looks gorgeous in one type of lighting, and like an ogre in a another. It was hilarious.
