My stunning 160cm from Doll Sweet...

This is my DS doll 160cm, I love how well she poses. I'm hoping that maybe someday DS will come out with a free-standing doll, but in the meantime, DS dolls are EXCELLENT photography models and lightweight... don't know about the sex part, that's on you guys!

There are many people who say things academically about DS dolls about the size of this and that but it's their ability to pose, as you say, that makes them such a joy to bring to life as . . . human . . . which you do amazingly.

... well - afaik - they did, the hard joint models prior to 2015 could, but then they obliged those wanting ever softer silicone ...
... and now we hope to get both wishes satisfied simultaneously.

My doll can stand with one point of contact, but she cannot stand alone. Are you saying that DS dolls could, at one time, stand TOTALL unsupported?

Uhm, no, I certainly did not mean to state that.

But, from a statics point of view, that will basically apply to every forthcoming doll as well - that is, in oder to achieve static stability without some embedded sensor-servo system( nerves & muscles or their electro-mechanical equivalent) three points of contact are required - in theory, if a doll has large enough feet and is small enough in size you might be able to find an equilibrium, but it would be pretty instable.

Those 3 screws embedded in the feet of some modern standing capable dolls kinda act as two mini tripods providing some base stability to start from( though you could do the same with appropriately designed feet without any metal showing I guess), but finding a pose for the whole body towering on them that is stable enough to stand should be quite an effort and pretty risky.

Just my take on it, I was not thinking your comment was actually about completely free standing, my error.

And, I would like to be proven wrong on my evaluation or see someone do the feedback system, would be nice to have.
