Hi all,

I had with Miyu another photo shoot and this was a lot of fun.

Because I do not have much light in my room I have bought two soft boxes with daylight bulbs. Unfortunately, one soft box is defective.

So for this shooting I have used one softbox with 4 daylight bulbs and a styropor board as a reflector.
So still quite simple, but it works.

I call the set Thank you Miyu, because without her these pictures would not exist.
Miyu and Mila aroused my interest in the photography.
It makes me so much fun...thank you Miyu and Mila!

So here are some new pictures of my Miyu.

That is an incredible difference using the light box. The clarity is amazing. Are you using the same camera?

Yep, I used the same camera for these photos.
Since page 2 I use the Sony alpha 6000 with the lens SEL35F18.

All of the following pictures are taken with this camera and this lens.

When I shot this picture....

.....the distance from the soft box to Miyu was approximately 1 meter. The distance from Miyu to the wall was approximately 1 meter, too.

For this picture I had only daylight available and the sky was a little bit cloudy. The distance from Miyu to the wall was approximately 3,5 meter.

For this picture I had better conditions.
I had only daylight available,too. But the wheater was really good and the sky was blue. The distance from Mila to the wall was approximately 2 meter.
And the photo was taken in a different area in my room than the previous photo with Miyu.

I was also amazed about the good results with the soft box...and I use the soft box just with daylight bulbs.
For the beginning it is quite good, later I would then like to use the softbox with a flash head. The Elinchrom D-Lite RX ONE should be a good and cheap flash head for the beginning.

On this homepage (if you scroll down) you can see pictures where the photographer used mostly just one flash head (Elinchrom D-Lite RX ONE). Of course with a great camera, nice photo-studio, etc.....but amazing pictures with this little flash head.

Because you wrote this nice comment, I made 2 "behind the scene" photos while my last shooting with Miyu. I thought that you might like them.

I will show the two pictures in my next post.

I'm still a total beginner and unfortunately I can not say so much about lighting and distances.
I'm always pleased when I find informations about lighting and distances from advanced photographers.
But also beginners need to talk about, even if they do not know so much.
