When I ordered my Eva, I almost chose yellow ... but decided on brown. My favorite?

At that moment, yes . . .

No option for "Doesn't matter?"

Be interesting what a clear doll would be like.

Definitely like white and light pink, but I would be interested in seeing another of the Devil's Bride style doll that Realdoll had with red skin.

This is hard to describe, as it depends on how we both understand/interpret your wording, my perception and a lot on the lighting.

I would not call it too much yellow, but also not call it really pale - the combo, like in "pale yellow" is probably a good description.

Haremlover has made quite an effort to allow a better guess/approximation of the DS skins colours, but photographs remain such and having them in digital form displayed on your non adjusted monitor introduces a lot more guesswork.

From what I gathered so far, comparing the pink and yellow most seem to agree that the yellow looks more natural and a lot better in natural outdoor light, while the pink is a lot better and realistic indoors.

I have seen the mocca/chocolate like brown as well personally and it is a lot better and more interesting than the pictures give it credit.
A good overview of this particular skin tone can be found here: http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=242&t=63587

I have unfortunately not yet seen the white myself, but assuming a more ghostly or aristocratic pale and judging from the few pictures available it certainly is a nice and interesting choice as well.

So I do not have a favorite skin tone out of these, my vote would be more depending on what I want to achieve/get at that particular moment.

If I could wish, I'd like to see a blueish tinted medium gray - like dark elves do sport in several online games, but it may be too few customers for that.

All the best to Miah and you.

This is certainly a most helpful topic.

I think the success of all colours really depends on the blushing makeup applied. It's that which brings it to life. When I ordered for my Dad I asked them to pay particular attention to this and Samurai's photos of Eleanor (Neri) show the success achieved.

The brown is interesting. It depends how one's reading it - either as a naturally brown skinned person or as a tan. Chloé at the beach was certainly tanned enough to wonder how people got so pink in the sun, but was pale compared with real suntanned people. The new deeper brown might be more effective at that. Certainly Pink is the safe choice.

Best wishes

I never supposed "doesn't matter" option would be relevant for someone here.
I mean colors are always agreements of taste and very important in compilation of a doll.

Does DS realy offer another or even customized color skins??

Looks like the yellow color isn't intensive than I expected. I even could imagine that yellow fits some heads better than Lpink or white. Am I right or wrong?
But of course it's still an agreement of personal taste.

The first doll I ordered is brown skin and it is certainly not a "tan", the brown skin changes the look of the heads in pictures, in real life the brown is sort of pale, almost grayish, and light in photography makes all the difference, a yellower light like flash and incandescent, make the skin appear tanned, but outdoor or halogen lighting with its bluer shade just intensifies the greyness. A reddish light gives it a nice, natural, dark look. I just recieived a new pink skin doll and love the natural, translucent look of the skin. It looks very natural. I will be posting pics soon of the pink skin doll and probably both dolls together. If you would like to see many pics of the brown skin click the link to my gallery at the bottom of this post.

Doesn't matter because moods/tastes change for some people which I suspect is why some own multi-colored dolls. Also some manufacturers do a better job of color complementing their dolls better than others making say brown or honey color (yellow) a better option.

I'd say pink as it seems the more balanced.
Anyway in the few pics i've seen the white option can definitely go for a very cool "goth-girl" look...

My 2 DS girls are LPink are lovely and perfect in my eyes.

The one thing I felt was wrong was to have the insert the same colour.

I recently asked DS to send me 2 yellow and 2 brown inserts

The yellow insert looks good in the pink body, but the brown looks better.

The DS inserts also fit my Japanese girl. The brown DS insert in her is very realistic.

I highly recommend anyone ordering a DS girl or even just spare inserts to ask to include ones darker in colour to the colour of your girl.

This will give you an idea of what I mean http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 11&t=71877
