My Eva 2 broke at the pelvis joint again so I'm not sure if any parts in her were late enough to have the upgrades. She certainly has a different character and, although Eva1 was really beautiful, I think Eva2 is outstanding!
There appears to be so many topics on these dolls that it's difficult to follow where we are with each of them! All I can say is, if you have to do repairs most jobs seem relatively effective. We'll see when my major surgery of replacing torso and pelvis has to be done on Eva1.

Sad to hear that the pelvis is another most likely place to break and difficult (if not impossible) to repair so that doll doesn't look completely steamrolled. Two broken pelvises can't be just bad luck! I bet soon TDF Sales section is going to be flooded with Eve/Eva dolls looking for new home...

As you can see from the attached, the pelvis only has forward and back moving lugs. The sideways movement is in the joint attached and below it. Once the limit is reached on the sideways moving joint, the lugs get full pressure.
I'm not sure if it was me or whether it was perhaps the joint was weak to start with but I was treating Eva2 with full respect and very gently. I set her in various pose positions and when I picked her up to give her a good talc rub down her leg suddenly went floppy at the joint.

How the heck does it break there? Isn't that the thickest piece of bone in the body (the chest thing has to be hollow)?

Sorry, the break is not where the mouse pointer is! That's a picture I sent to DS for the part I need. If you look at the end of the pelvis it ends in two lugs each side allowing the legs to move forward and back. That's where it snaps. The bolted part joined to it at the end of the thigh allows the legs to move outwards but when that sideways movement comes to its limit the pressure is on those two lugs at the end of the pelvis. So, if you spread her legs too far........

DS don't seem to be answering my emails. I'm not sure if they're ignoring me or waiting for the new parts to become available. Anyone else have communication problems with them?

Finally, I had a chance to replace her left leg and foot. It's pretty challenging to seal a very long cut (from above the knee all the way down to the foot) in one sit with minimal scar.

I ran out of the elastomer catalyst; otherwise, I would apply a touch-up layer to seal the seam a little more. Anyhow, here is how she looks. Yeah, I had her outfit tailored by Nadia. She did an amazing job. I have not taken off her black skirt for about a month and there is no stain so ever. I have a set of unused parts; the left thigh, two chest joints, and a left leg part (no foot attached). If anyone needs any of them, feel free to pm me. I will send it to you for free. You just have to pay for the shipping.

Elfie, I would keep the parts if I were you! DS will supply them free anyway, although perhaps they charge a bit more for shipping. If you keep them, hopefully you'll never need them! Some of the joint parts are interchangeable so at least you'll have them if something else goes, which of course we hope will never happen!

Agreed I think DS is starting to send extra parts because of some parts commonly fail...

God damn kit dolls. -_-; Some reassembly required.
