DS doll mini suspend sales

Even more concerning is that a poster in the DS Mini thread has reported that he's been informed that US customs seized his doll under the provisions of a law against "Mailing obscene or crime inciting matter and obscene visual representations of the abuse of children."

This is even worse. And I'm starting to wonder about my order. Considering I just placed my order and that there's a backlog I might be able to cancel. I'd rather not but if customs is seizing these dolls for that :/ even though they have breasts and non child proportions

This is worrying.

I had no concerned over the one with larger breasts but the small breasted one seemed a possible candidate about which I warned. DS responded to say that they would ensure that the makeup would make her unmistakably mature.

People going for minus size breast versions with small dolls of whatever make with whatever adult intentions should be appropriately conscious and steer well clear.

Many people go for small dolls on account of limited storage space. But people who have not faced such issues are less likely to be able to understand them.

It's odd that you say that as one of the 3 known holds in Kentucky just received their mini. The Eva model which is the smaller bust version.

What a funny problem to have. Selling something so popular the backstock becomes impossible to keep up with.

Can you not expand your production ability to accomodate the rapid succession or does the revenue gained not yet allow for it?

I would have bought if there were nore head choices, so Im happy to hear you are making more molds.

Women with small breasts are not illegal because they have small breasts.
Dolls with small breasts are not illegal because they have small breasts.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

What matters are body proportions, bust-waist-hip ratio, and how the dolls are styled (makeup, outfit, and especially context).

Those who already have received their DS Mini, please measure the doll's body proportions with the head units rule. A nowadays human is 7 1/2 (normal) to 8 (idealized) head units tall:

The body width = 2 heads wide
Waist = 1 head wide
Buttocks = 1 1/2 heads wide
Width of calf muscles together at mid-point = 1 head wide
Bottom of the knees = 2 heads from ground level

Also remember that according to the DS Mini specs, the B×W×H ratio is 45/47 : 37 : 55. A child would maybe have something like 42 : 40 : 41.

No. A TPE manufacture once tried to rapidly expand production and they ended up selling dolls whose ears ripped off with basically 0 force, among other defects.

I am most pleased that DS is taking the time to expand production properly and not taking any short cuts.

Any discussion about trying to fight back and win with Customs (Homeland Security - folks - they are the modern version of the gestapo) is crazy. They will grind you into dust and ruin your life. Best approach is to deal with DS, they took our money for shipment and picked the carrier, they are responsible for their product till it reaches your front door.

I have asked for a store credit but if you bought your doll with PayPal or Credit card - You just need to call them, open a case and demand your money back. This would be worse case scenario as I suspect that DS will step up to the plate and resolve this with their reputation of excellent Customer Service.

Hopefully they will be able to help you. It really sucks that they decided to take the doll. Im kinda hoping that this was an incident of an over zealous customs agent and that others myself included will not have any issues.

After talking to UPS, emails with DS and all the posts here with tidbits of real info, it appears that all of the remaining DS Minies in motion have come to a dead stop and I can count at least 4 TDF members with their dolls in Kentucky.

1 - Eva / Tan - was released after a week.
2. - Eva / Pink - Taken as child porn
3 - Eve / Pink - Day #14 - no letter no doll no change
4. - Lahfan1970 doll (not sure what configuration) - Day #14 - no letter no doll no change

If the mini cant make it. but the 145cm dolls are having no issues then perhaps DS should drop the price on that down to say 1200 with 200$ shipping for those whove already ordered and ship them instead?

The more I think about it the more I wonder if this is not the direct result of the change in the box?? I mean those of us in the very first wave of dolls received them in an EXDoll Box - This thing weights a ton and would easily mask a much smaller dolls weight. Plus the box was actually to big for the doll, again hiding it's true size. Throw in the fact that most of these dolls come with their heads of and their boxes are no were near the weight of an EXDoll box. Only issue was UPS handling, a trademark of theirs.

My EXDoll box did not appear to have even been opened, just the cardboard box, I'm guessing whomever assumed it was a bigger doll with just a visual glance and weight and just moved on to the next item.

Now along comes this smaller, lighter box with a one piece (gee I thought all small dolls came with their heads off) and it grabbed someone's attention.

I read that DS recently changed its shipment procedures and is no longer exporting things with proper value declared. Maybe this is what is catching customs attention.

It's possible that could be the case.
Lone I doubt it's the box as the customs agents probably used an x-ray machine to look at the contents. My thoughts on this are mixed and now I'm unsure of my order.
