Having been a lurker on the forums for many years, finally decided to test the Singapore customs to see if my exdoll ut145 doll order would get through. This is a review of the process from ordering to delivering, for other lurkers out there that may be too shy to ask about it
As the UT145 are not available for ordering from the DSDoll USA site, I decided to try ordering from their chinese EXdoll site. I shot out a few emails to exdoll and was advised to send my questions to sales@dsdoll.us.
John from dsdoll replied and advised that they do ship to singapore, with shipping cost added to the total cost. They accept bank tranfer or paypal (extra +4% to total cost).
I sent John the description of the doll type, head, skin tone, eye colour, tight joints, and a screencap of the doll from exdoll website. I was told by John that my order was entitled an extra insert and wig free.
I placed my order on 27 Oct 2016, and paid a 20% deposit via paypal. I was then advised by John that it would take about 1-3weeks to complete the doll and about a week after to ship to my door.
On 14 Nov I received pictures of the completed doll from John, and paid the remainder of the cost plus shipping (including some doll accessories from the exdoll site). The doll was packed and shipped on 15th Nov (John also sent pics of the package and box before shipping), and thankfully arrived at my door today 21 Nov 2016 without any issues with local customs other than import taxes (GST).
The cardboard box was travel worn, but otherwise intact with no big holes or punctures. The doll was wrapped in a sleeping bag for my order, and the dolls' hands and feet were well wrapped inside.
All in, I had a good experience purchasing the doll from DSdoll, and John was usually prompt in replies. I hope the info I shared would be useful to other buyers in Asia who might be interested in purchasing a doll direct from DSdoll.
