Hi Pat,patbutter wrote:She is stunning! And you've done a fantastic job outfitting and posing her and with the photography. Fantastic addition to your beautiful collection. Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your photos and detailed review
I haven't made a final sale of my similar model (DS145 minus with Nina head). Any Southern Californians who might be interested and willing to pick up a similar beauty, hit me up
Thank you for dropping by and good luck with your sale. I was about to get your Nina, it's just tiny inch of decision to ship her but unfortunately, it's that inch I can thread in so I hope someone give her home at least xD She won't be the last one. She have lots of twin sister xD (I plan to get Nina Yellowskin and another Lpink Nina.)
Hi Bud,Bud Bundy wrote:Hey RJ!
Congratulation to your enchanting Sayumi!
Finally these beautiful doll is with you!
You wrote a great report!!
I left the popcorn away, But I enjoyed the whole report with a coffee and some cookies.
Buddy, You had a great timing with the DHL guy.....Fortunately you went home just at the right moment. Great!
This is strange with the skin tone of the doll body and the color of the samples.
For me she looks naturally lpink as well....but the color of the samples is very confusing. Also a pity that ds didn't send you the sample of the brown skin tone.
Beautiful pictures of your Sayumi.....was a pleasure to look at them. Really can't wait to see more of her.

Hello Sayumi, welcome to tdf!....the meeting place for dolls and doll lovers.
You're wonderful Sayumi!
Much love!
Bud
Thanks for the response. I hope you read it all and my struggle to figure out what doll was it when I was looking for a different doll in the first place. You've helped me achieved her and in fact I'm still puzzled that I actually ended up getting her after I fallen in love on her face on Pinterest when I first so her. Amazing turn out.
Hi mi6c,mi6c wrote:This may or may not be true depending on the actual thread quality on the Sanhui neck and the variation on size and spring depth on the DollSweet head( which has known variations), but will most likely work for a while.
The issue here is that Sanhui uses a male M10( outer size just below 10mm) thread at the neck while DollSweet uses a spring clip mechanism designed to clamp onto a grooved post with an outer diameter of 10.1-10.6mm with the groove being over 1 mm deep.
So yes, one can clamp the spring onto the threaded bolt and if the diameters are good it will be a pretty strong fit even.
However over time you will ruin either the spring or the thread or both - so no, it does not fit.
Kind regards.
Whatever you say, it's always right C: you do adapters so you're more expert on this field of knowledge. This was just a mere diversion since her body arrived late. I had no adapters laying around so I rely on things I find common for use. Despite of that, I had a bit of fun in those few hours she was in Sanhui body. She can do pose lots and even worn my uniform for show. It was a great timing for that discovery but not for long lasting use though. It is for those who are waiting with Sanhui body to use into. But of course, if one finds sanhui as a cheapest one alternative, they can always request you an adapter.
Hi Nova,Nova-I wrote:Wow! congratulation on your newest addition RJ... Sayumi is just so cute! Also thanks for your informative review. I really enjoyed how it was setup in a timeline format "Pure genus"... I was also very intrigued to learn that the heads from the DS-145 body can work with a Sanhui bodies... Also your photo story of Cook Sayumi was brilliantly entertaining.
It really surprises me to hear that you've had some communication problems with John at DS. But in the end I'm glad he worked with you. And you were able to get the product you wanted..
As for DHL... Well this is very interesting to hear. Even more so that I also live in Southern California and have a DS-167 on the way. However this is not my first order from DS. In fact the last two times I've ordered from them. The shipping experience with DHL was painless!!! In fact the last two times I didn't have to pay Duties. But I did receive a bill in the mail from DHL a few weeks later. Which was for US Customs administrative charges that was only like $40... Will be interesting to see if my experience will be different this time around...
Anyway just wanted to say congrats to you... And I can't wait to see more of her.
Nova
I do timeline reviews so everyone reading it relate a feeling of experience of mine getting a doll and the process involved. I don't know which part of SoCal are you from but if you say around LA area, it's because it's closer to yours so it's hardly a problem. I live by the valley in desert sands filled with canyons, cactus, and palm trees and DHL is not around anywhere nearby. I haven't use the service before but since it's recommended to me, I take a bite and it was the worst first time ever with the delays and all.
Well, I hope DS open up Fedex I mean, we pay the shipping right? What's the extra hundred gonna be to ease our worries.
Hope I respond to all,
RJ
