Question about any problem importing DS 145 into Canada
I was wondering about any problems with customs, especially
the 145. There is a case here of a fellow facing child porn
charges for a 130cm doll. They're not showing any photos so I
don't know what the doll looked like. This guy's name and picture
is being spread all over the media, so I'm a little nervous.

Only other option I can think of is maybe shipping her to someone you trust in the states and then driving her over? Might be expensive but you could avoid the problem that way too. I'm guessing it would be a lot easier to slip by customs that way.
Sorry I don't have any personal experience. I'm from the states and live in China so I couldn't tell you about Canada, ha.

That's not a bad idea, as long as they are willing to discuss such matters.
I could do that by email, and avoid some embarrassment, as well as giving me a record of the inquiry. I have thought about crossing the border to pick up the doll at a shipping office, as I am in Vancouver and it's not too far. I've never had my car checked, but there's always a first time. I like the idea of the DS 145cm for the weight and the similarities to the 163cm, which I really like, but I have some back problems and that's why I'm considering the 145. Originally, I thought that the worst that could happen, is that the doll could be seized, but hearing this story has made me nervous.

Doll is still quite heavy though at 25 kg's that's at my max weight buying limit.
Would of liked a smaller doll really the 118 cm Elife from Sanhui but no chance of buying that now, these paedophiles have really messed things up for us doll lovers.

I believe the Kenneth Harrisson case is an isolated one.radio22222 wrote:[There is a case here of a fellow facing child porn

This investigation was likely because they suspect that he may already be in possession of child porn.
They did not find any. The trial is in December.
Some of us that do experience our doll shipments getting searched are usually because they are incorrectly declared.
Especially if they've included a heater but didn't declare the lithium ion battery.
I really think members here should stop contacting CBSA concerning whether or not a certain doll will be confiscated due to youthful appearance.
The more members that contact them specifically stating this, the more they will think that there is a problem and more than likely get a bill put forth.
If you are worried that the doll you want will be stopped at the border, don't buy it. End of story.

You will not be breaking any laws and you will believe me when you try to buy her clothes. She will require a mix and match of clothing sizes to make a wardrobe. She is a tiny adult. Small torso, narrow waist, wide hips, long legs. That being said she is small “child size”. It’s not to say she might get flagged by customs. If you are willing of making the argument I can’t see a reason that you won’t be successful.
