Tight joints or Loose joints - Which is for me?

There probably is a topic like this somewhere here but couldn't find a suitable one for my specific question. Apologies if this has been discussed similarly before.

I'm looking to get a DS doll later this year but a bit unsure which type of joints to get to suit my use. You can probably see in my explanations below that I am currently leaning towards loose joints, but I'd like opinions from people with hands-on experience to make an educated choice.

Sex:
I wouldn't like the doll to feel stiff as a mannequin. Having the limbs and the body have kind of a smooth and free movement would enhance the experience for me. This of course means that the doll loses the ability to support itself in any kind of position but it wouldn't matter too much to me for sex stuff. Only the flimsy waist could prove to be an issue.

Posing:
I'm not much for photography but I do like having my doll out on display. But not in a traditional sense. I like having the doll clothed, lying in bed and me being on a sofa working. I of course would like the doll to be able to stand on a rare occasion but not as much as I dislike stiffness.

Cuddling:
Not sure which joints would be the best for this. But I like to cuddle and hug the doll. I've heard that loose joint dolls tend to naturally want to get back to the mold position. How big of a problem is that?

Don't have a DS Doll (want one) but here is the age old Mantra, Loose Joints if your mainly going to use you Doll for Intimacy, Tight Stiff Joints if you mainly intend to use the Doll for Photography, Posing Purposes...the question to ask is which is the most important activity..

That is the internal struggle I am having. I don't really like stiff joints in intimate moments but then again I would not like to completely lose the ability to pose the doll if I wanted to.

Hi dullahan,

Doll Sweet calls the two settings for the joints "more tight joints" and "more loose joints". This is important as "more loose joints" is not the same as a floppy skeleton. Actually, the latter one is a pretty amazing adjustment with differentiated fine-tuning as not all joints are just loose. It is much better than a skeleton with completely loose joints everywhere.

For example, Doll Sweet's "more loose joints" can do a poses like this:

I will send you some more experiments from our little photo challenge later.

My recommendation is: The "more loose joints" are good for intimate play and cuddling. The "more tight joints" are good for photography and if you have dedicated poses in mind.

The body language of the "more tight joints" can feel a bit inaccessible, whist the "more loose joints" feel rather snuggly & cuddly.

Thanks Sandro! As always, you managed to explain the issue to me perfectly. Hoping to place an order in the very near future.

The "more loose" seem to be able to do just enough of poses to work for me. Not going to do any photography so no need for extra tight joints.
