Contemplating my first doll.

I love the loose joint option on the DS dolls. Seems like a very practical option for sex. Sure, the doll cant stand on its own (I could care less), but it looks INFINITELY easier to handle in bed, for various positions.

Can we get some feedback/confirmation on that?!

Because of these joints, is she easier to handle? I realize she's just as heavy, but can anyone with a loose joint doll confirm that they're easier and more enjoyable than a doll with a more rigid joint system? Any drawbacks?!

Only 1 disadvantage I can think of is if you want to push your doll up against a wall and fuck her in the ass mercilessly like in the porno. She has to be standing for that.

I have both. I have a 160+ stiff for 2 years and a 167 loose for a few months. Here's what I think are pros and cons. I prefer stiff.

Loose pro:
If you're just sleeping and she's on the side, it feels more comfortable on a loose doll. Stiff feels like a rock. As a comforter or "stuff animal" I would take loose all the time.
Her movements are more fluid
Less prone to damage since loose are gentler on joints and stress.

Loose con:
You have to realize the silicone wants to push the doll back to the natural position which is her lying down straight flat (back not arched, arms pointing straight down, feet straight with a bit of a angle on the knee, i.e. this is how your doll came out of the box). When you pull her arm up like a "high five" or lift her leg up, there is actually quite a spring force to push her limbs back to the normal position that the silicone was cast in. This can make intercourse awkward. She cannot keep her position at all except if she's lying on her back. Even then the positions are limited due to gravity and the nature of the limbs springing back to the cast position. If you put her on all fours, that position is not possible. Her thigh and knee joints will literally spring and she will end up lying flat. Every other position besides her lying on the back will be hard to do. You will also notice the arms will be flapping loose to the "default" position. So this can cause damage to finger joints if you're not careful, and it can get annoying.
Loose dolls come with the neck, wrist, and ankle joints as tight. I recommend you keep it this way. It's not sightly having a "floppy dead" neck. And you don't want the wrist flopping as the finger joints are extremely fragile.

Stiff pro:
Can pose any way you like. If you want her to keep an arched back while lying on her back, you can do that. If you want her on all fours with her back arched and thighs pushed up as close to her stomach as possible, it's possible. You want to keep her arms and hands in a lifted up locked position behind her head, that is possible. Any position is possible due to stiff joints holding up on their own with no assistance.

Stiff con:
It's stiff like a rock. But over time you get used to it. I personally don't see this as an issue. Stiff joints can do mostly everything a non stiff joint doll can do but more. It can pose and maintain positions and show off herself in a way that a loose doll cannot ever do.

I was going to reply as I have both loose and tight jointed DS dolls BUT ... take123 has stated what I was wanting to say perfectly. I must mention that a NEW DS doll with tight joints moves much easier and smoother then my TPE doll did when she was NEW. DS uses nylon/synthetic washers between all metal surfaces of the skeleton so there is no "metal on metal" action/rubbing/grinding. Another plus from this use of washers is the joints will stay tight (but not TOO tight) for many years. My tight jointed DS145 is over 2 years old now and her joint action/tension is perfect now. Still tight but easy to move and not so loose that she can't hold poses.

With the experience of loose jointed ds145 I'd say loose jointed doll is ok if you are fine having her just laying on her back or sitting on your lap. Also positions including entering from behind are pretty much not worth the hassle, other dolls may be better for that depending of position and angle of their private parts.

one thing to note is that the positioning of the privates may necessitate tight joints to achieve certain positions. for that reason, the lower back, hips and legs should probably be tight.

Otherwise .. could be a chore.
