Ex lite head replacement suggestions

The excellent vonrubber has made an m16 adaptor plate so we could possibly use tpe heads with it.

Have any forum users tried this yet and can anyone recommend a good oral-capable head that would also be a good colour match?

Hi Scatman,

I cannot answer your question but maybe give you a hint or two as I own a ExLite and a DS160 in Lpink too.
Those two colors don't mix well. The ExLite has much darker skin.

RJAce1014 did a good comparison on DS silicone skin colors:

Looking at that picture, I would say the "cream" skin-tone comes closest to the one of an ExLite.

Since you are looking for a TPE head anyway, I would recommend going with one that's slightly tanned.
So eventually slightly darker than the ExLite body, which won't be as visible due to the shadows the head
and the hair cast on the neck and body, as if you put a lighter colored head on a darker skinned body.
Which would look really creepy in my opinion as the head on a real person also gets the most sunlight
and is always more tanned than the rest of the body anyway.

Hello TheScAtMaN,

Sorry for the late reply. Here is a skin tone comparison with Jinsan TPE sample pieces and an EX-Lite arm.

The only skin colors which work reasonably well are the Jinsan NATURAL and Jinsan LIGHT TAN. I don't have a head in NATURAL color so I can only show you a LIGHT TAN head aside the EX-Lite body part. This is #36 head in LIGHT TAN in factory fresh condition (no modifications whatsoever):

No, the adapter is specific to the Ex-Lite.

I owned one and it worked great.

Note: TPE heads are much heavier than the Ex-Lite's so there could be toppling issues. And be especially careful removing the original connector from inside your Ex-Lite's neck; the screws are very deep and the doll's foam and skin coating is very delicate.

You can get an adapter to put regular DS heads onto an EX-lite from Dollstudio.

Would not recommend a tpe head on an ex lite due to weight and inconvenience of mounting(really hard to do) go with a ds head in light tan if you can get one. Easy to get a kit for and everything.

I'm not going to tell Jeff, because he would need a 'courtship' before I bring another one home, but a DS lite body with one of their heads would be amazing to me! That would really fit the bill for sure as she would be for display and posing only.
