Do not spread her legs too far apart! Better avoid missionary and cow-girl position! Be careful rotating her hands. You have to angle the wrist first to 90°, rotate and straighten it again. I think haremlover posted a more detailed tutorial once somewhere...dullahan wrote:What to do and what not to do? I'm getting a DS-145.

I can understand that it's not a good idea to make the doll do gymnastics or splits, but surely the doll can do a slight spread that makes it possible to do something like a cowgirl or similar type of positioning?nukeno wrote:Do not spread her legs to far apart! If even the EX-Lite can do that (at least in the promo), I was hoping the silicone would be able to.

Well, do I have to explain to you the differences between a tiny cute asian model in a promo shooting and a horny 200 pound gorilla going at it...?dullahan wrote:I can understand that it's not a good idea to make the doll do gymnastics or splits, but surely the doll can do a slight spread that makes it possible to do something like a cowgirl or similar type of positioning? She will be able to some extend, but there is a higher risk to damage her in the vagina area.
And DS is not even showing missionary position in the promo shots. The model just has one of her legs between the ExLite's ones.
From what I've seen so far, TPE dolls can stretch far wider in that region.
So, if you are used to TPE, be a little bit more careful with silicone.

I'm (at least for now) a rather slender man, which is why the spread does not need to be significant. But I get your point. I'm not as tiny as the model probably is.
I'm used to having a Textile Doll, which can do pretty much whatever pose. You could probably even get the doll stretch legs behind the head but I've not dared to try. That's why I wanted to start this discussion as it was unclear how careful one would need to be with a silicone doll as opposed to the seemingly indestructible TD.

Re: Tips for a soon-to-be DS owner?
I went a similar path myself. I did crazy stuff with a “TBD” and a “1am Nori” and thought to step it up I need to buy a silicone or TPE one next. Decided on silicone and DS on behave of looks, features (hanging the doll with head attached) and quality. Got disappointed sexually, but rewarded otherwise. First I teared my “DS160” a "new one" then I split her during a cow-girl session. But nevertheless we had a great time, still have, just not in the sack anymore. To compensate for that I bought the “DD Dreamlegs”. And they are holding up to the task just fine still. Bought an “ExLite” just recently (not for sex either) and want to buy yet another doll soon, or make it two. One for further "art projects" and to act as my "daughter" to complete the doll family and therefor not for intercourse at all (probably the DS145-). And a doll to lay with, but this time I'm choosing TPE (probably EVO170 or IT160). It seems to me, from what I've seen in videos so far, TPE-dolls are better suited for sex, at least as long as they last.dullahan wrote:I'm used to having a Textile Doll, which can do pretty much whatever pose. Well sex is only one part of the intended use but TPE is probably better for that due to the elasticity. Though the new 2017 DS silicone seems really, really soft. I'm hoping it'll get some of the TPE's stretch stress durability but with less of the downsides of TPE. I guess I'll see that in about a week or so.nukeno wrote:I went a similar path myself. I think that most important things is storage and maintenance. The sex is important as well. The best thing to do is to take your time. If you need to get laid, no judgement. Got it. Absolutely. Just do it in a "safer" way first: aka don't tax your girl needlessly. Be gentle.
Then as you get to know her, you can experience more complex things. If you don't need to get laid right away .. then just take your time and learn her skeleton and silicone capabilities.
Oh one thing - I definitely recommend the hanging kit. And also the "with head" hanging kit. The first is great for maintenance and dressing. The second is great for pictures. Any specific questions please feel free to PM me. I got so much help from folks here first. And I'm so glad I did!

Oh of course. It's a must have!MannyCan wrote:Oh one thing - I definitely recommend the hanging kit. And also the "with head" hanging kit. The first is great for maintenance and dressing. The second is great for pictures.
Maybe one of the best features of DS dolls!!!
Thanks Manny for pointing that out!

Oh yeah I remember those images. Thanks for sharing them. Newer DS in theory should be more durable in the crotch area but will see.MannyCan wrote:I spread the legs of my DS163+ to the full amount for missionary sex. I don't necessarily recommend it for all DS. But I tested mine slowly over time. I concluded that for the positions that I enjoy, that my DS163+ seemed up to the task.

I made a storage case under the bed that I'll pad with soft stuff. Hanging kit is really not an option for me unfortunately.MannyCan wrote: I think that most important things is storage and maintenance. The sex is important as well. As for taking things slow, that's a good advice. Did the same with my Textile Doll. The doll was very stiff at first so first days it was just clothing fitting and yoga exercises to make the joints more flexible. So there's no rush.

That's very helpful, thanks! It's a bit counterintuitive to rotate wrists that way so it'll take few days to learn to do that routinely.jiayi wrote:Here’s the post I made about wrist rotation:

Another good tip. No need to cause unnecessary stress to high-risk areas that way.haremlover wrote:For missionary, with her on her back, bring legs up towards her chest, then she opens as you need and no further, and in this way the crotch area is not stretched too much
