Bye, bye blurriness

No matter how great your camera might be, it is how you apply your skills that makes the difference between an OK shot and a great shot. Here you can talk technical, talk creative, share your techniques, lighting, and digital editing. This is where we can all help each other to take better photos.
If you post a photo here and are looking for a critique, you should be prepared for honest criticism even if it hurts. It will only help to make us better photographers.

Bye, bye blurriness

Post by RaDiv »

I finally got my finger out and bought myself a new camera. It's a Canon Eos 550D with a 18-135 lens, honestly, I don't have a clue what 18-135 is supposed to mean.

The difference in picture quality between my old and new camera is extreme. Just look at this:

Old camera

New camera

The days of blurriness are finally gone. RaDiv is a very happy guy now.

My new family member Teri (Ms Summer) has volunteered to show some skin for a pic or three. I hope you like them.

Very nice camera and very nice pics! Unfortunately for me, these days blurriness has less to do with my camera and more to do with my tired old eyes. :(
May your roots be strong and your branches free to wander.

find it a bit hard to judge (because of the limited size of the pix) ... but as long as you're happy, and showing us 'the Twins' more often, I'm happy too  :D

Everything looks great! Congrats on the upgrade. Somebody who is as active as you are in doll photography, certainly deserved a new camera. Besides, we all love seeing your girls

Nice work RaDiv. :D It's amazing the feeling you get with new camera. It actually inspires confidence and the results, of the shoot, are a million times better.

I very much doubt that many would argue that Cannon are very good cameras, especially for doll work, a great choice. :)

Damn, I wish it was summer, but the summer face is enough to warm up the coldest days. :) Thanks for the ace pics of Teri, she looks stunning. :) It's a win, win situation, we get to see more pics and you get to use the new camera.:)

That's a really nice camera Ra, as you already know and are getting to know more and more no doubt.

It is known as the Rebel T2i here in the states.

An 18-55mm lens would probably work better for your use but the lens you have will serve you well.

Enjoy, I'm jealous ...

That's the lens that comes with the T3. Why do you recommend that one, SL?

Thanks! I'm very pleased with my new camera. I read a review where several people with knowledge recommended 18-135 instead of 18-55. Lots of settings and stuff, I guess I have to read through the manual a couple of times.

Now I have to do something about the lighting, maybe get some reflectors? Bulbs without reflectors aren't very effective. The light seemes to disappear.

Last but not least, here's some booty for you GreatSoul. I hope you put those blue stockings on Cadee soon.

Yeah! Love that thong and her derriere fills it out very well. Nice work there, RD.

Will work on those blue stockings for you, but I think we both need a week or two away from the photography stuff (maybe one more tomorrow tho).

So pick up the slack for us dude.
