Girlfriends are for guys who haven't found the right doll yet.
I feel much better now that I've given up hope.

For some, it's not just a hobby; it's a career.Obin wrote:I haven't read this yet. I was browsing news topics while at work. Anyway, that NBC posts the article surprises me and makes me think that this hobby must be growing.

Re: NBC news on dolls
It's more basic than that. Women own all the vaginas and they know they can use that fact to manipulate men. When men turn to dolls, they show women they don't need them and hence women are POWERLESS to control or manipulate men. Women are motivated by fear - remember that. They react out of fear and will make all sorts of claims against men hoping one sticks in order to maintain control over men.Ownerfckdoll wrote:"Sex robots may interfere with human intimacy". If by that meaning a doll keeping up with me in a way few women can, and thus me not willing to settle for less, then maybe they are onto something.
Think of it this way: If Saudi Arabia was the ONLY source of oil, the rest of the world would do whatever was necessary to have access to it to keep their cars and factories running. Then someone comes along with a new power source and suddenly Saudi Arabia has oil that it can't even give away because no one needs or wants it. Saudi Arabia would do anything it could to denounce the new power source and the discoverer, investors, and users because Saudi Arabia would know it's economic survival depends on selling its oil. Same with women. How would women react to being rejected by men en masse? What if men one day woke up and no longer desired a woman but chose to meet their sexual needs on their own??

The use of the word warn indicates perspective.A Swiss researcher at the event warned an audience about the possibility of robots being better at sex than real people, prompting humans to have less sex with one another....
Couples should be together solely because they want to be. I feel that's the bottom line.

Yup! It reminds me of something I read from my youth; "When Galileo peered through his telescope, he saw heavenly objects not recognized before. When the some of the clergy peered through the same telescope, they saw Satan and heresy".Obin wrote:Some do have a negative perspective.

I suppose it is quite natural to be suspicious of new things. Some however are more likely to see progress and others more likely to see fearsome consequences.

I have always been curious about this. I'd be interested in hearing your stories on how people have reacted to your doll, and where you're from.CrazyCajun wrote:Some of the responses that I get could not be scripted if you tried. But for the most part they are good.

Not all women use their private parts as leverage, just like all guys do not only "think with little head.
Being a woman i know about being hounded by guys that "think with the little head" it makes me uncomfortable, even though i am hetero (for the most part) the awkwardness of being heavily persued by an individual male or female is very stressful.
Women that use their bodies for leverage in this way are far less then you would think.
More on topic i would not want a robot or an android. It would really creep me out, unless it was tiny and cute.
I was in bed with my doll the other night and half asleep when i thought she touched me lol. I know she didn't but it freaked me out none the less. I prefer them to be dolls brought to life by my imagination. I do hope that those who want robots will have and enjoy them none the less.
The only question that remains is what to do with bot or droid when she starts naggi g to no end? Lol
