The Newly wed guide by BCD for your doll

The Newly Wed Guide by Booty Call Dolls

The protocol for taking TPE dolls has changed alot in the past year. Unless you read about by chance or surf certain vendors you might not know. Credits go to my friend, Indigo20. This guide basically deals with TPE care. The protocol is good for Jinsan dolls just as described.
Best,
Jeff and the BCD Girls
"We turn dreams into reality"

DOLL CARE
Your TPE doll requires maintenance in order to lengthen her life span and ensure maximum durability while being used for her intended purposes. Now this is not burdensome in fact it can be quite enjoyable and become second nature once you have been acquainted with your doll as time goes on.

Your care kit should include the following:

Spray bottle
Microfibre towel
Cornstarch baby powder
Thick makeup brush
Soft sponge
Baby oil (babyoil having to be based on mineraloil/paraffinum,)
Nivea creme
Vaseline (petroleum jelly)

Her first two days

The first day of your TPE doll is the most important day.
Wash the doll 5-6 times for removing the production residues.
That stuff is unhealthy and you should remove it.
Afterwards do a mineral oil treatment, let it absorb and then do the powdering.
Let the doll rest for the night.
The first mineral oil treatment and powdering are working over night (binding left residues).
Next day, wash off the powder, do the mineral oil treatment again, let it absorb and then again the powdering.

Now, let’s talk about washing your doll.

Washing Your Doll

It is completely unnecessary to ever take your doll to the bathroom to wash. I highly discourage this method of washing your doll. To clean your doll simply all you need is the spray bottle, baby powder and makeup brush. Place your doll horizontally on a flat surface such as a bed or soft foam pad. Using the spray bottle make a soft soap mixture and mix.
Formula can be found here
Use an empty bottle and make a mixture of normal hand soap / shower gel and normal water in a ratio of 1:5.
That is your "doll soft soap mixture".

We are going to wash the front half of her body now. Spray her front half and wipe using a soft sponge , do this until her torso, arms legs have been cleaned. Dry her with the microfiber towel and then powder her to remove the tacky feeling to get the smooth skin feeling. I recommend to dispense the baby powder cornstarch into a small container so it is easy access and use the makeup brush to apply all over the parts you just cleaned her at. When you are done, flip her over and repeat the process to her back.

After washing off the doll with water and soap there can still be stains and more persistent dirt left on the TPE, which isn't always very noticeable to the eye depending on light and the skin color of the doll. You can get rid of most of this by stroking baby oil repeatedly in same direction along one body part at a time, and you'll quickly see how dirt is collected by the end of the strokes. Simply pick that dirt up with a fiber towel and repeat until it looks clean enough. After cleaning the whole doll like this, you can continue to rub it all in again with baby oil and let it soak

If you are going to oil your doll, you better wash her.
My doll's skin turned black because the production powder was absorbed into the doll with the mineral oil. Here is a post Indigo made regarding my doll back in Dec 2016: http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=267&t=79046 PLEASE don't make the same mistake I made; my doll is okay now, but it took a few months to purge the production residue from the TPE.

Let’s talk about Vaseline and Nivea crème,

Vaseline and Nivea crème

Please note that TPE used to make dolls in a different factory is of course not the same. This be true, what works on a WM doll most likely will not work on a Doll4 ever doll for example. Doll House 168 and Doll Forever TPE is different to Jinsan Their absorb baby oil very fast. Vaseline and Nivea creme are taking more than 2 days for absorption. So if you own one , apply it only thin.

As the crotch is a high stress area, it is ideal if once a week you apply Nivea creme to the vagina and crotch as this contains mineral oil and quickly will be absorbed by the TPE. Mineral oil is what makes the TPE soft and elastic if it were to dry out then a rip or tear can appear so it is important to provide extra care to the vagina and crotch. Leave the Nivea creme for approximately 6 hours for it to be absorbed onto the skin. For better protection you can apply Nivea every time you use the orifices.
For a quick review,
Vaseline and Nivea creme:

- For all joints: Armpits, elbows (inside / outside), knees (inside / outside), around the ankle.
- Private area and the skin folds of the thighs.

Baby oil with mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum) is overall good for the whole doll.

Please note that Vaseline, Nivea cream and baby oil will remove the original make-up from the face, breast and vagina of the doll, as well as self-applied make-up.
So you might want to avoid those areas or be very careful and not rub it in.

TPE Rehydration

Once a month it is recommended to hydrate the entire doll with mineral oil to keep the doll factory new. Similar to washing your doll you apply baby oil on the front half of the body and wait approx 2 hours for absorption and flip the doll over and repeat. Be sure to remove baby powder first before oiling her body. Vaseline can be used under high stress areas such as the arm pits, crotch and vagina but requires approx. 12 hours for absorption. Vaseline and Nivea creme has a higher mineral oil content than baby oil. For hydrating the entire body, baby oil is the proper choice.

You can remove sticky and dark spots from dust / dirt (not dark stains from pigments caused from unwashed clothing) by using baby oil and Q-tips or a small towel. Simply apply the baby oil and wipe gently above the spot for removing it.

Note-Many people stain their dolls. A very good method to avoid this is to wash clothing in sink. You change the water and repeat until the water is clear.
After the clothing is dry, you can wrap it around an insert/tpe material. You then place a book or something similar on it to produce weight.

Of course, the vagina, anus and mouth if used will require some added care

The love holes

Using Lube

You may find this surprising but it is now unnecessary to use water based lubrication for sexual intercourse with your doll. It is safe to use Vaseline or baby oil for lube alternative. If you want to use regular lubricant, make absolutely sure it is water-based and not silicone-based.
Insert vagina
If she uses an insert, please check the thread below,
http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 67&t=87073

Fixed Vaginas

If your doll has a built in vagina then it is trickier to clean but you will need an aquarium pump to air the cavity out completely.
We will discuss pointers to dry and disinfect.

To dry, we suggest using tampons, one for the mouth and 2 for the vagina (behind each other) and 2 for the anus opening (behind each other).
Tampons are much easier to insert, soaking off the moisture, do not produce fluffs and can be easily removed with the strip.
Also after sex, insert 2 tampons in her vagina / anus.
The tampons are soaking off most of the sperm-lube mixture.
That allows you to move the doll without the fear that something drops out.
Or you are using that method for having a relaxed time after sex and the tampons are doing the most work for you itself.
Remove the tampons after 30 minutes.
Afterwards the cleaning is very easy.

To disinfect, you can spray some hydrogen peroxide 3% on 2 tampons.
Insert it in the dried vagina / anus and let it there for 30 minutes.
Remove it. Do this once per week.
Hydrogen peroxide 3% is a sperm killer.
Never use alcohol, it causes micro-cuts inside the TPE structure and in addition it makes all TPE blends dry, brittle and cracked. Do not use toy cleaners, disinfection sprays, disinfection soap, etc.
Hydrogen peroxide 3% is the most effective disinfection method.

If you follow the simple steps in maintenance of your doll then you will find a long lasting product.
***************************************************************************************************************
Please note that too much of a good thing is not good.
Just like drinking too much water can kill you, you can over oil your doll and do more harm than good.
***************************************************************************************************************

Black list of harming products (in conjunction with the TPE blends especially used for TPE love dolls):

- Alcohol:

Pure alcohol like rubbing alcohol, alcohol thinned with water and products containing a lot of alcohol like baby wipes, desinfection wipes, sprays and soaps, toy cleaners, etc.
Alcohol is producing micro-cuts (irreparable) and a dry out effect (porous, cracked and brittle ) inside the TPE structure.

Spray perfume only on clothing and / or wig before you put on your doll.
Do not spray perfume directly on the doll's TPE surface.

- Solvents:

All kind of single solvents and solvent compounds like mineral spirits, odorless mineral spirits, paint thinner, nitro-thinner, and products containing solvents like alcohol-free baby wipes (includes ether and/or chlorine instead of alcohol) etc.
Solvents are causing a dissolving process inside the TPE structure, are destroying the block-copolymers and therewith they are extremely harmful for TPE.

Only official repair solvents for TPE dolls and their different TPE blends, provided from the vendors, are allowed according their repair manuals / videos and recommendations from the vendors and manufacturers.

- Vegetable oil:

Products containing vegetable oil, like crèmes, soaps, shower gels with coconut oil, fruity oils, etc.
Vegetable oils are sealing the TPE surface and therewith the necessary breathing function of TPE is stopped.

- Silicone oil:

Products like wet condoms (includes dimeticone) and silicone-based lube.
Silicone oil influences the TPE structure and makes it harder, cracked and brittle.
Also a shrinking process of the TPE can happen.

Very useful! Bookmarked and will be referring to this when I do have the $ to order the TPE doll I've chosen. Many thanks!

The one part not fully discussed is cleaning out the vagina after the tampons are removed. I'm thinking a turkey baster of just clean water should do, until the water comes out clean, followed by thorough airing out. I don't know though, just a guess. What would be the best practice here?

Just to clarify, what you mean by washing the doll the first two days is to simply spray with water and soap mixture and not take it to the shower ever?

Hi Redandgold510, welcome to TDF. You'd need to be very careful in the shower. Water shouldn't be given any chance to leak into the skeleton area. I think it's okay to clean a doll in the shower as long as you cover all possible openings tightly. The neck, feet if you have standing feet option, and be careful of some TPE models' vaginal canals, which may have an opening at the back, plugged with a small piece of TPE. This TPE Ball can pop out and internal leakage might occur. This problem has been addressed in certain TPE models. You should check with your vendor regarding individual brands and models.

Hi Johnny. Every doll is different, as makers all have their own recipe and production techniques. As far as baby oil, it's best to contact the manufacturer and ask for their recommendation. Some people don't do any baby oiling and their dolls are just fine. A lot has to do with the quality of TPE.

Regarding powder, just watch out for talc. That stuff is not fit to consume, whereas cornstarch is quite safe. Also, powder with chemical fragrances added is probably not a good idea if you kiss much or suck on your doll. :)

As a new owner I would like to make an Addition to this post due to finding problems that arn't in the OP and a few extras.
(1st pic below)
1.Any microfiber towels you use should be nice and soft. And are a good alternative to a sponge. As is a washcloth so long as you are gentle. I found that car detailing MF towels are quite good for this.

2. Get yourself a container for your baby powder. Makes getting it on the brush so much easier.

3. Separate spray bottles. For cleaning I have 2. One with my soapy water mix and one thats just water (bottled water if your tap water isn't the best) Be careful around the metal of your doll. Don't let water or soapy water sit on it to long.

4. Try your best to get unscented baby oil

5. same with your baby powder.

6. I use a mix of hand soap and dawn antibacterial soap. Works great when I was first days washing my doll.

7. The is one I don't see anywhere. Get yourself a small spray bottle for your baby oil. Using the actual bottle of baby oil to do your oiling is a lesson in futility. Much easier to spray it on before rubbing it in. Also makes it easier to apply if you plan on using it as Lube.

8. And lastly. I found that the hanging rig made cleaning/oiling/powdering a much easier endeavor. You can spin your doll around as you go and get everything at once at any angle. Instead of doing one side then having to flip her over. As I found. Dolls are heavy. If she is hanging and you see you missed a spot its an easy fix. Not so much with the flip method. Just make sure that when spinning your doll you are not getting to the end of the threads on the hanging rig. Last thing you need is you doll falling on the floor when all oiled up.

Now when it comes to cleaning the head. All the above in the OP works well but Id like to add something here. The eyes of your doll are nothing more than plastic in a lens shape and some cotton behind them. I personally took my dolls eyes out and cleaned in those areas as well. Remember, there is nothing sealing the eye sockets. So any water and oil that got in there is still in there. I'd hate for someones doll head getting filled with mold for not knowing this. Just be careful. I don't plan on doing this all that often as I don't want to find out how to put on eye lashes.

I found in another thread. When it comes to insert vaginas if properly cleaned and oiled. you can put in the insert and leave it there. (Totally up to you tho) And also having a dowel of some kind. Made of plastic. Or a cooking spoon handle makes getting the insert in there much easier. And ensure you use alot of baby oil.

I'm a new TPE owner too, about a month in, if you more seasoned owners see anything that's not a good idea in this post I'm open to suggestions. This is a cheap doll but I'd like to have this down before I get a nicer one.
Storage:
I don't have a place where she can hang so I modified the box she came in so that she lays on the original moulded foam she shipped in and turned it into a sort of tray but I had to add to it to support her head.
She stays hidden under a workbench so I clamped up a mattress casement underneath and it hangs as sort of a tent that zips up across the bottom, it's perfect so far. She's accessible and she's protected by something that dust and bugs can't penetrate. I never put her away wet because I don't know if she'll dry in there though.
So far it's been great, I started with a small doll just to kind of test the waters but I think I'll be ordering a 130 or 140 pretty soon. A larger doll than that would be out of the question for storage and I kind of wanted a small doll first too just in case things happen that make them unavailable in the future since that's a gray area right now. She appears to me to be about teen aged but with a body that would absolutely make a porn star jealous. Overall I'm really pleased with her, she's way prettier in person than the pictures from the vendor and I'm glad to have the small doll experience.
Care:
I sized her up and got a variety of outfits, being careful to avoid black and pretty much any dark color, also purchased four additional wigs. I've found that two piece outfits are my friend here because her proportions are not at all something that clothing manufacturers expect at her height. Bikini style stuff is amazing on her.
For soap I've been using Softsoap brand antibacterial cut with water and I found some very soft lint free dish towels to pat her dry.
I'm using Vaseline "recreationally" and rubbing it into her stretchy parts and joints to keep her limber and it absorbs in completely overnight.
I'd like to start with the mineral oil but I'm not having any luck finding unscented so far and don't want her or me smelling like baby oil.
The thing that scares me is the powdering, there are pictures of some lower priced dolls like her that have been stained black and they look like they're covered in black mold. I tried powder (100% cornstarch) on a spot on her head and it didn't stain so after I do some mineral oil I'll experiment on the head some more where her wigs hide it and decide from there whether I want to powder her completely.
Coloring:
The last couple of days I've been trying to make pink the parts of her that should be pink, a video online shows lip gloss and after trying a couple of different ones I accepted that she wasn't absorbing any lip gloss.
Today I had a breakthrough though I think, red cake frosting dye worked well and now my sexy little vixen is pink in all the right places.
Length of time was a factor in how pink she got and it had to be applied fairly thick to make any sort of change at all. I'm kind of curious to see if she's still got pink parts tomorrow. I'll also inspect the areas thoroughly for adverse effects and post here if that goes south so nobody else hurts one. Frosting dye is edible so I'm assuming there's no terrible chemicals to cause trouble but I don't want her losing any elasticity.

So now for the newbie questions!

1) is there a better substance she should be laying on since hanging is not an option?
2) Where are you guys finding unscented oil?! Maybe help me out with a brand name or something please!
3) Am I overly concerned about powder staining her? Maybe it was just the production oils that cause it....

Thanks in advance....

Just a quick update, the food coloring has faded about 25% in a week and the TPE hasn't had any adverse affect from the use of it so I'm calling that a win.
I powdered her a few days ago and she didn't get any spots either.

Food coloring faded almost entirely after another week. I've moved on to lipstick dissolved in baby oil to make a paste that soaks on and stains more deeply depending on the amount of time it's left on.
Also found pure mineral oil marketed for butcher block seasoning.
Is there any problem with 100% mineral oil on TPE?

I am waiting for my 6YE 161E to arrive. She is with their new no powdering (not oily) TPE formula. Do I need to oil her with baby oil after her first bath?
