Does alcohol hurt TPE dolls?

I have been looking at differant kinds of makeup,some is oil based,some water based,and some others alcohol based.Doesn't alcohol hurt tpe dolls?YES OR NO and what about oil based,does that hurt tpe dolls? help''I don't want to hurt my new doll'''

no. I use alcohol to clean daily! (9+ months)

It's never harmed my girl so you should be fine too.

I don't know about oil based make up but it sounds like at the very least it would smear eventually so I would probably avoid it. I'm not a make up expert though...

According to study from a few TPE professionals, alcohol does in fact damage TPE dolls when exposed for too long. The experiments were done by placing a chunk of TPE into a vat of rubbing alcohol. After some time, the chunk of TPE literally dissolved into nothing.

But for cleaning purposes, I personally believe you should be fine. It's not like you'll just have the doll bathing in the stuff. My recommendation is to use 91% to 99% isopropyl alcohol as it quickly evaporates so you don't get moisture and mold issues. Do not use the common kind you find at walgreens, which is 70% alcohol, that's just too much water in the mixture.

After cleaning, don't forget to oil (rejuvenation) then powder (oil sealant/smoothness restoration) her after cleaning for increased longevity.

Hydrogen peroxide may be safer. I have read here in several threads that rubbing alcohol is harmful to TPE.

I have used it for over a year, 300+ times, on the outside of inserts/inside vagina cavity with no ill effects to TPE dolls or inserts. Ditto for silicone dolls. Aids tremendously as lube for insertion and extraction. And it kills germs. Great stuff.

It's safe to use as long as you don't let it soak. It will nomnom your doll up.

Alternatives that won't gobble her up like a strip of bacon:

- Antibacterial soap
- Hydrogen peroxide
