OR156H bra, bras, underwear
If you want to find an H-cup bra in the US, it's really hard.
If you want to find an H-cup bra with matching XS (extra small or size zero) panties in the US, it's impossible.
My main question is, "What fits?" Please post the measurements that worked best for your (unmodified) OR156 H-cup. Please note the brand with the measurement, since there are different sizing schemes.
My second question is, "If you found a bra that fits well, where did you buy it?" A link to the exact web page would be most appreciated.
Pictures of your OR156H doll demonstrating the bra's fit would be fantastic!
If this topic already exists please let me know. I searched the forum and didn't find it.
PS - this is my dream underwear:
It's the Vero Moda Intimates "Steel" push up bra and thong, which is discontinued. The bra only went up to D-cup, so it wouldn't have fit anyway. If this underwear looks familiar, you have TDF member mandos to thank.

I tend to haunt the surplus clothing and 2nd hand stores to find clothes for my ladies. I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks! But can you explain how you got "32 inches" for the band size? Here's one formula I found:Aberdare wrote: The OR156H has a 98cm bust line with a 65cm under bust, which would make her a good fit for a 32H U.S. bra size.
65cm (26 inches) plus four gave me 30 inches. While braless or wearing a non-padded bra, measure around the bottom of the band, directly under your bust. The measuring tape should be level and very snug. Round to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add four inches. If it’s odd, add five. Your band size is the sum of this calculation.

This calculator also gave me 30 inches:
So there's the weird US sizing rearing it's head! I can see how you'd get "32 inches" if you're adding six inches as noted above in red. But how do you know which brands are doing that???For US: Size: 30 inches* Cup: J
For UK: Size: 30 inches Cup: M
For Other EU Countries: Size: 65 centimeters Cup: K
For Australia and New Zealand: Size: dress size 8 Cup: M
*note: many bra manufacturers, especially in the US, will add four, five or even six inches to the band size.
I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a bra and find out it's the wrong size because that particular brand adds a random number of inches to the underbust measurement!
PS - I broke the Her Room calculator! Check this out:

Cool! But you inflated your doll's breasts, right?carver wrote:ZZZZ I will show pics and sizes later. I need to finish work and then go through my folders. I can identify every bra you will see. She fits best in a size 28-30H.

"Stand in front of a large mirror wearing a non-padded bra. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your back at band level, under each arm and around the front. Measure just above your bust, right about where the straps meet the top of the cup. TIP: Odd number? Round down to the nearest even number."
so it avoids adding 4 or 5 inches.

I see you have bands from 28-32. Let me check my understanding: With the "larger band/smaller cup" scenario, do you see the gore* "floating" above her?carver wrote: 28G Claudette

Nice chart! Unless you have a much softer OR156H than mine, she doesn't actually "need" a bra (for support). But if there's a bra design you love, and it's not available in the ideal size, a "sister size" may be a possibility.Procrasturbate wrote:SISTER BRAS. you can flex up 2 sizes

I may have your ideal figure, but just try shopping for a bra.
By Soraya Roberts
Two months ago I walked into Neiman Marcus’ lingerie department in San Diego and asked the saleswoman if she had any bras in my size, 28G. Like a deleted scene from Pretty Woman, she treated me as if I was a pair of Lucite platforms away from a highway strip club.
"Oh, we don’t do that here," she said with a hint of embarrassment. She then proceeded to fold the dime-sized A-cup she had just sold to a normal customer.
In theory, the United States likes large breasts. In practice, the United Stastes likes large breasts as long as they’re on the right body. That means bigger women have bigger chests, smaller women have smaller chests. The average American bra size was once a 34B, now it’s a 36D, according to Tomima Edmark, founder of online lingerie retailer HerRoom. (There is some dispute on this: Women’s Wear Daily cited the median in 2010 as 36DD.) Breasts have grown and so have waistlines; bigger women, bigger chests.
But then there’s me. And then there’s Sofia Vergara. In the September issue of Allure, the self-satirizing Colombian and resident Modern Family babe inadvertently became the spokeswoman for the small percentage of petite Americans with big busts when she admitted she has difficulty finding bras in her size, 32F. Vergara sometimes has to settle for a more common 34DD because of the dearth of lingerie in her dimensions, which, according to intimate apparel professional Moira Nelson, the bra industry calls “full-busted”—defined as a small band size (36 and under) with a large cup size (DDD and over). (Full-busted as opposed to “full-figured” or “plus-sized,” which both refer to 38 bra bands and up.)
"Nobody with real boobs usually has those measurements," Vergara told Allure. And she’s right. In the context of the American bra industry, being “full busted” is about as unusual as Gloria Pritchett's argot.
As I learned that day in Neiman's, full-busted bras are often associated with plastic tits. Even feminist website Jezebel once quipped, "it's important that we separate the woman with a 28-inch band and G cups from the woman who wears a 36C, because one may be a hot porn star with implants, while the other is just a fatty."
[...]
[...] though focused on larger cup sizes, less than one percent of HerRoom's merchandise is geared toward full-busted women. Edmark admits that she recently got rid of her 26-band bras and is currently culling 28 bands since petite women return them at a rate of 50 percent.
"They tend to go to our website and just buy everything then return everything," she said. "Unfortunately, I can't make money doing that."
