Reference - Oriental Rose (OR Doll) ›Linda‹ head

Hi,

since we're frequently getting requests how a certain head looks without professional makeup, I'm starting a new reference series for heads without custom makeup. This is also a companion thread for the Reference threads for Doll Sweet heads started one year ago; however, with the new threads I'll focus on TPE heads.

These postings are intended to help you to get an idea what you will receive if you purchase the depicted head. Exactly with the default factory makeup and no alterations. Without a wig, and with a random wig, from different angles. All pictures are labeled with the ordered skin tone.

I'll start with the beautiful ›Linda‹ head by Oriental Rose (= OR Doll). This is Jinsan no. 55 head, so it's made of TPE.

Some endoscope pictures from the inside of the oral cavity.

The walls of the oral cavity have a texture.

Similar as OR Doll's Carry head, the Linda head has some huge chunk of TPE in a depth of 4-5 cm in the oral cavity. Again, it might supposed to simulate the palate or the tongue.

This one appears to be somehow glued to the oral cavity's wall:

I could not easily navigate the endoscope probe around this chunk.

Does anyone know what this chunk of TPE is, and if it is supposed to be loose?

For comparison, you can also take a look at some endoscope pictures of OR Doll's Carrie head.

Does anyone know what this chunk of TPE is, and if it is supposed to be loose?

My WM head also has a chunk like that.

Here's a pic of another head that I have without the chunk and the tube goes all the way to the end. The end is solid. ie the resin inner part of the head.

I can only guess WM shove a lump of TPE down the pipe so you don't bash into the hard part.
But for cleaning this makes things difficult, why not fill the end with liquid TPE so that it sets and seals properly?
Maybe it's quicker to simply shove the block of TPE down?
