ISO definitive TPE doll insert installation/removal vids

Post by Dollyman25442 »

So I have a new WM doll and this time I got one with an insert.
I wonder where I can find the vids I've heard people talk about on insert installation/removal, care and maintenance?
Is there a definitive write up on this?

There is this video on YouTube from True Doll https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2YwsKLhi18

Note that I have read other advice on here to not use powder on the insert as seen in the video. Others could confirm this for you.

After a couple of years of ownership, I have found that the easiest way to install an insert is to spray it with alcohol, and also a couple of sprays into the cavity and it slides right in.

With TPE?
I heard alcohol wasn't good for TPE?
Last night I tried the procedure as outlined in the video that was previously posted but used mineral oil instead. Seemed to work well enough....

I've been doing it for about a year, and haven't seen any negative affects to the insert. I haven't exactly looked inside the cavity. This from once weekly rate of usage. Your mileage may vary.
