Hi, etc
I have been anonymously following here for quite some time but only recently joined. The conversations that happen here are very enlightening for someone who is deep in consideration to see if a doll might be a worthwhile addition. I'm deeply analytical so I'm debating pros and cons of it all. (If you're curious, the 160 cm anime fabric dolls have caught my eye as a sensible first foray.)
I hope you'll indulge me as I continue my explorations both of dolls and this forum.
Cheers
K.

Re: Hi, etc
Am I reasonably correct in thinking that fabric dolls are less intense to keep up (warming, cleaning, storage, ongoing maintenance) than their TPE or silicone siblings?

Re: Hi, etc
Imo you're correct. I started with fabric dolls, two TeddyBabes. If you know how to handle a needle, maintenance is easy. Warming, fabric dolls don't feel cold. Storage, well I guess this mostly depends on the size of the doll and the best way of storing the specific doll (hanging, sitting, lying).kerfuffleism wrote:Am I reasonably correct in thinking that fabric dolls are less intense to keep up (warming, cleaning, storage, ongoing maintenance) than their TPE or silicone siblings?
After my TeddyBabes, several silicone dolls have joined me. I prefer their realism. Regarding cleaning, it's different for fabric and silicone, I can't say it's more easy for fabric as my silicone ladies are easily cleaned using a sponge.
I don't own TPE dolls, so I can't tell from own experience.
Anyway, happy doll hunting

Re: Hi, etc
Many of us have started out with fabric or inflatable dolls. Jury's dolls impress me greatly from the photos I've seen. Others have come via the inflatables route.
Best wishes

Have a good time here.
Re: Hi, etc
Welcome aboard. I have a teddybabe and anime dolls. They are a fantastic starter doll. I had a real doll as my second doll. I had to sadly part with her, as she was far to heavy for me.
