Welcome! I too would love to see some of your drawing work. Have fun here, and there is also a wealth of knowledge about doll construction, technology and the state of the industry. Ouch, Shelby just elbowed me - And yes, they're are a lot of really beautiful ladies here to admire as well. :-)

Of course! Let's not forget the ladies!

Hi, Have you ever thought about designing and scultping and casting only the torso out of silicone/tpe and carve out the arms and legs in wood or make it in hard plastic/rubber?

How good are you at sculpting heads and torsos? Can i please see some of your work?

For some insight about someone who made a doll and currently manufacturers dolls, check out Titman's posts.

TPE doll production entails use of very expensive equipment and elaborate methods. However, silicone doll manufacturing isn't simple either.

Eye candy is a good choice for posting art work.
笑. It's good for you.

Exactly, manufacturing isn't quite what I'm ultimately after, I like concept and design as well as sculpting. But yes, eye candy will certainly be a good enough excuse to post.

Any art can be posted in the "General Discussion" page.
Art or topics more doll related can be posted in "Dolls in General".
Doll art projects can be posted in "Dolls in General" or "Inventors Corner".

This is not a rule, just what I would do.

I think the only commercial doll/ doll maker conceived FROM TDF is the Maidlee doll.

There are members who have made cloth dolls. converted mannequins into sex mannequins.
Stuffing on inflatable dolls.
Many silicone or TPE doll attempts. Mannequin Man is working on a silicone doll as well as Mike.
Mannequin Fan is messing w/ 3D printing including mannequin conversion and electrical upgrades like sensor controlled voice, ball joint doll parts, eyes, etc.
Silicone doll parts and inserts have been made.
Many members like Samara78 like to do doll mods and makeup.
I have a 4' ball joint doll that I stretched in size and converted into a love doll.
Say high to Aurora. I also have a mannequin w/a couple of different heads. Nikki is the main one- see pic. As you can see I'm into doing mods, make up painting, jewelry and costume making.

Us doll tinkerers mainly do our thing on Inventors Corners or Mannequins.

G'day Greyhavens and welcome

Your words here sound very familiar to me. You will find many members here that feel the same way and that management and members alike take pride in the friendly little corner of the net we have here.

I hope you enjoy you time here. Best of luck in your search for a lady of your own.
