Newbie as member, older as reader

Well, I joined finally as I was finally frustrated about not being able to view all posts.

THE SHORT VERSION:
Unsure of dates, but I probably acquired Lauren - a Teddy Babe Lisa model original about 6-7 years ago?
Of course the TB Deluxes had to come out almost immediately after she arrived. After a while I let her undergo gene therapy to grow longer legs. A while after that I became transfixed on a BT2 and took the plunge. I really didn't take the prep time to prepare for her arrival and life was so hectic at the time it turned into a bad experience. Platinum silicone and I weren't the best of friends. About 3 years ago it seemed life was going to take a turn for the better with a RG and I decided it was time for a life reboot and all dolls needed to move out among other things. Everyone left, including all clothes and accessories, but in reality the Teddy Babe Deluxe alone was wrapped up in and went into cryo-sleep. Of course the real world scenario didn't turn out, and for some reason about 3 months ago I when up in the attic and retrieved Lauren after I got home late one night. Thankfully she was no worse for wear and protected. And after having my snuggle bunny back I seem to be a little more relaxed and sleeping better.

I have been lurking/reading off and on over the years since before the first Teddy Babe purchase. Usually just in curiosity on how the manufacturing tech and art is progressing. At times I think I have had something to add, as I am an Engineer by trade and do a lot of construction work for "fun?". As such i can do a little bit of everything from welding to sewing. Mostly i never joined out of a fear of another thing that can take a ton of time.

So since adding Lauren back in my life I started browsing TDF again and was quite surprised how much more prevalent the Chinese TPE dolls are now. This of course led to falling into the endless wading though multiple vendors and sites trying to figure out how all the parts of the WM/Jinsan universe worked. And forgetting to sleep sometimes.

Which led to... "awaiting production"

Glad to hear you kept your Teddy Babe at least. It always kinda worries me if somebody decides to get rid of their doll(s) completely. I mean, there's always room for her somewhere, or even if you have a bunch you might as well hold on to a special favorite. Never know what the future will bring and then she'll always be there for you.
