Hey Chase!!!
That looks really awesome!!! It really adds more realism to ChaseDoll!!! Kinda hard to see the full effect with the underwear on, though. Did you do the armpits, too???
After you glued all the hair patches on, how did you get them off without damaging the silicone??? Did you use silicone adhesive remover???
Celtic and I have been working on the hand-punched technique since June and hopefully we finally figured out a way to secure the hairs so they don't come out.
Good job, guy!!!

Hey Keegan!
I'm shocked at how much better CHASE looks and feels with the hand punched hair

I'm considering doing some hair around his nips and maybe a little patch between the pecs, but I have to test this out first.
I'll take some better pics with better lighting to show you what he really look like "
sans thong".
Yeah, all those expensive $50 a pop hair patches that I bought for CHASE are now in the trash. I punched his pits too, maybe a little thicker than most would like to see, but I like that thickness and that's the great thing with hand punching, you can choose how thick you want it.
To remove the patches, I just gently tore them off. Luckily, very little glue remained. I just punched right over and through whatever glue remained and you can't even see it. Granted, I am using a DARK crepe wool for the hair, so that darkness helps to conceal things. With a lighter hair color, you may need to do a little removal of the former adhesive.
Here's the link to Lars, the Swedish artist who sells these punching needles:
http://www.makeup-fx.com/shop.htmlThey'll cost you $58 ($US) including the DVD , then the crepe wool comes in strands for around $3 per strand. There are also other more expensive hair types like human, buffalo, etc, but these hair types are much more expensive than crepe wool. Lars discusses the different hair types in the DVD that you can get when you buy the punch needles.
I thought at first that I would NEVER be able to do this hand punched hair. I have zero artistic background. But it is really very easy. We'll see how it holds up over time, that's the only question that still remains unresolved.
Hope this helps shed some light. If there's anything else I can do to help you and Celtic out with this hand punching, please don't hesitate to ask!!
